Phishing is a vital web security problem that involves simulating legitimate websites to mislead online users in order to steal their sensitive information. This paper aims to detect and predict the type of the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 3 · 19 Mar 2019 · 7,473 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA User-Driven Association Rule Mining Based on Templates for Multi-Relational DataCarlos Roberto Valêncio, Guilherme Henrique Morais, Márcio Zamboti Fortes et al.Data mining algorithms to find association rules are an important tool to extract knowledge from databases. However, these algorithms produce an enormous amount of rules, many of which could be redundant or irrelevant for a specific decision-making process. Also, the use of previous knowledge and hypothesis are not considered by these algorithms. On the other hand, most existing data mining … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 11 · 8 Nov 2018 · 7,442 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMining, Isolation and Identification of Siderophore Synthesis Gene from Brevibacillus brevis GZDF3Miaomiao Sheng, Huake Jia, Xiaomai Tao et al.Objective of this paper is to excavate the siderophore synthesis gene from Brevibacillus brevis GZDF3 and verify its type and antibacterial effects. The method is using genome mining technology to analyze the siderophore synthesis genes and the phylogenetic tree of each synthesis gene was constructed separately. Iron free medium was utilized to induce the synthesis of siderophore and CAS liquid … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 14, Issue 3 · 28 Aug 2018 · 10,606 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMapping, Characterization and Dispersion of Metallic Pollutants within a Catchment of Illegal Gold Mining Activities in GhanaWiafe Samuel, Richard Buamah, Helen Essandoh, Lawrence DarkwahThe illegal gold mining activities prevalent in most part of Ghana have caused substantial havoc to the environment especially water bodies which serve as sources of water for domestic, industrial and agricultural purposes. The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) recently shut down their water treatment plant due to the extreme pollution and high cost of treatment. This study focusses on … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 13 Jan 2018 · 8,176 accessesView PDFCite

The goal of this task is to build a system that is capable to reveal an image label within a collection of different image categories. This paper presents and discusses the application of various data mining techniques for image classification based on Bag of Visual Words … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 1 · 12 Jan 2018 · 7,983 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEstimated Greenhouse Gases Emissions from Mobile and Stationary Sources in the Limestone and Basalt Rock Mining in ThailandDubsok Atima, Kittipongvises SuthiratMineral processing can become more environmentally sustainable by integrating practices that reduce all environmental impact of mining operations. Along with pollution problems, global climate change is presently one of the most important environment concerns. This research aimed to identify all potential sources and also compare the net emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) from the limestone and basalt rock mining operations … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 5 · 26 Oct 2016 · 8,294 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Survey of Anomaly Detection Using Data Mining Methods for Hypertext Transfer Protocol Web ServicesMohsen Kakavand, Norwati Mustapha, Aida Mustapha et al.In contrast to traditional Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs), data mining anomaly detection methods/techniques has been widely used in the domain of network traffic data for intrusion detection and cyber threat. Data mining is widely recognized as popular and important intelligent and automatic tools to assist humans in big data security analysis and anomaly detection over IDSs. Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFREQUENT CORRELATED PERIODIC PATTERN MINING FOR LARGE VOLUME SET USING TIME SERIES DATAG. M. Karthik, S. KarthikFrequent pattern mining has been a widely used in the area of discovering association and correlations among real data sets. However, discovering interesting correlation relationship among huge number of co-occurrence patterns are complicated, a majority of them are superfluous or uninformative. Mining correlations among large pile of useless information is extraordinarily useful in real-time applications. Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA COMBINTORIAL TREE BASED FREQUENT PATTERN MININGN. Yamuna Devi, J. Devi ShreeFrequent pattern mining is a process of extracting frequently occurring itemset patterns from very large data storages. These frequent patterns are used to generate association rules which define the relationship among items. The strength of the relationship can be measured using two different units namely support value and confidence level. Any relationship that satisfies minimum threshold of support value is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 23 Jun 2014 · 6,804 accessesView PDFCite
