Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleParameter Optimization of Gradient Tree Boosting Using Dragonfly Algorithm in Crime Forecasting and AnalysisAlif Ridzuan Khairuddin, Nor Azizah Ali, Razana Alwee et al.Crime forecasting and analysis are very important in predicting future crime patterns and beneficial to the authorities in planning effective crime prevention measures. One of the challenges found in crime analysis is the crime data itself as its form, representation and distribution are varied and unpredictable. To handle such data, most researchers have been focusing on applying various Artificial Intelligence … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 8 · 7 Aug 2019 · 7,918 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCharacterization of Composite Structure Surface Uniformity using Interval Based Gradient Field Histogram Analysis of Thermographic Images (IGF-HA)Mahmoud Zaki IskandaraniThis paper presents a new approach to composite surface characterization using Image Histogram Analysis as a function of Gradient Field. Image sequences are weighed and combined in order to present a pattern change in the thermal response of a tested composite structure. Reaction Injection Molding samples used and subjected to thermal energy to characterize their surface uniformity and any existing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 6 · 25 May 2018 · 7,971 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSperm DNA Fragmentation and Apoptosis Levels: A Comparison of the Swim up and the Density Gradient Centrifugation Methods for Sperm PreparationSilvia W. Lestari, Triyana Sari, Dwi A. PujiantoThis study investigated the efficiency of two sperm preparation methods, namely, density gradient centrifugation and the swim-up method, in selecting spermatozoa based on the DNA fragmentation index and the apoptosis levels. Fifteen semen samples from infertile couples underwent sperm preparation in this study. The Makler® counting chamber and Eosin Y staining were used to analyse the sperm concentration, motility and … …OnLine Journal of Biological Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 14 Nov 2016 · 7,419 accessesView PDFCite

GurusamyProblem statement: Harmonic analysis is a primary matter of power quality assessment. Its main intention is to check the utility whether it is delivering the loads without any deviations in voltages and currents. The problem is due to proliferation of Electronic converters and power electronics which gave birth to numerous new applications, offering unmatched comfort to the customers. Approach: Harmonics … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 12 · 14 Oct 2011 · 6,545 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA New Approach for 3D Range Image Segmentation using Gradient MethodDina A. Hafiz, Walaa M. Sheta, Sahar Bayoumi, Bayumy A.B. YoussefProblem statement: Segmentation of 3D range images is widely used in computer vision as an essential pre-processing step before the methods of high-level vision can be applied. Segmentation aims to study and recognize the features of range image such as 3D edges, connected surfaces and smooth regions. Approach: This study presents new improvements in segmentation of terrestrial 3D range images … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 19,592 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEffect of Different Uniform Temperature with Thickness-Wise Linear Temperature Gradient on Interfacial Stresses of a Bi-Material AssemblyD. Sujan, Z. Oo, M. V.V. Murthy, K. N. SeetharamuProblem statement: The thermal mismatch induced interfacial stresses are one of the major reliability issues in electronic packaging and composite materials. Consequently an understanding of the nature of the interfacial stresses under different temperature conditions is essential in order to eliminate or reduce the risk of structural and functional failure. Approach: In this analysis, a model was proposed for the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2010 · 7,068 accessesView PDFCite
