Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEfficient Music Auto-Tagging with Convolutional Neural NetworksShaleen Bengani, S. Vadivel, J. Angel Arul JothiTechnology is revolutionizing the way in which music is distributed and consumed. As a result, millions of songs are instantly available to millions of people, on the Internet. This has created the need for novel music search and discovery services. Music is often searched using descriptive keywords, or tags, based on the content of the song. Hence, one very important … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 8 · 27 Aug 2019 · 7,841 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDistributed and Parallel Decision Forest for Human Activities Prediction: Experimental Analysis on HAR-Smartphones DatasetBudi Padmaja, Venkata Rama Prasad Vaddella, Kota Venkata Naga SunithaSensor-based human motion detection requires the subtle amount of knowledge about various human activities from fitted sensor observations and readings. The prevalent pattern recognition methodologies have made immense progress over recent years. Nonetheless, these kind of methods usually rely on the particular heuristic variable extraction, which could inhibit generalization realization. This paper presents a distributed and parallel decision forest approach … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 11 May 2019 · 7,392 accessesView PDFCite
Case ReportOpen accessIn the abstractQuery Optimization on Distributed Database Dengue Fever by Minimizing Attribute InvolvementSlamet Sudaryanto Nurhendratno, Sudaryanto, Fikri Budiman, Maryani SetyowatiQuery optimization is an important task in a client/server environment of a distributed database, whereas a health epidemiologist data distribution based on DBD data on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). A proper method for a particular query process function is needed to generate query optimization on a distributed database. The query process requires important attention especially in distributed databases because the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 4 · 7 Apr 2018 · 8,327 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Evaluation of Apache Spark Vs MPI: A Practical Case Study on Twitter Sentiment AnalysisDeepa S Kumar, M Abdul RahmanThe advent of various processing frameworks which happens under big data technologies is due to tremendous dataset size and its complexity. The speed of execution was much higher with High Performance computing frameworks rather than big data processing frameworks. As majority of the jobs under big data are mostly data intensive rather than computation intensive, the High Performance Computing paradigms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 23 Dec 2017 · 8,070 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProcessing Large Volume of Biometric Data in the Hadoop Single Cluster Node EnvironmentJayakumar Vaithiyashankar, Shohel Sayeed, Anang Muhammad AminIn big data evolution, the analysis of large scale data and scrutinizing the required vital information becomes very demanding task. The emerging cloud platform promises and gives hope in handling the enormous volume of data. Hence, a new kind of methodology is required to tap the full potential of leveraging the big data analytics over the biometric data. In this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 12 · 27 Oct 2017 · 8,521 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Intrusion Detection Framework for MEC-Enabled IoT NetworksRofaida Tawfik, Abdelfattah Hegazy, Hesham Dahshan, Ahmed Gaber AbuabdallahMobile Edge Computing (MEC) has emerged as a promising paradigm for supporting latency-sensitive Internet of Things (IoT) applications by bringing computational resources closer to data sources. However, the distributed nature of MEC environments increases exposure to network-based security threats, particularly network intrusions that can impact both system reliability and task offloading efficiency. This paper proposes a security-aware framework that integrates … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 4 · 1 Apr 2026 · 1,921 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractScalability Services in Cloud Computing Using EyeosP. Deivendran, E. R. NaganathanCloud storage enables users to remotely store their data and benefit of the demand high quality cloud applications without the difficulty of local hardware and software management. Though the benefits are clear, such a service is also reliable to the users' physical possession of their outsourced data, which inevitably poses new security risks towards the recovery of the data in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 22 Sep 2014 · 7,578 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSECURE COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL FOR PROTECTING COMPUTATION RESULT OF FREE ROAMING MOBILE AGENTG. Geetha, C. JayakumarMobile agent plays an important role in developing applications of open, distributed and mixed environments, such as the internet. Mobile agent or mobile software agent is piece of software that can operate autonomously to accomplish user assigned task. To explain more, mobile agent is the process which can migrate to hosts autonomously. As an agent travels to do execution in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 19 Feb 2014 · 6,800 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIMPROVING FAULT TOLERANT RESOURCE OPTIMIZED AWARE JOB SCHEDULING FOR GRID COMPUTINGK. Nirmala Devi, A. TamilarasiWorkflow brokers of existing Grid Scheduling Systems are lack of cooperation mechanism which causes inefficient schedules of application distributed resources and it also worsens the utilization of various resources including network bandwidth and computational cycles. Furthermore considering the literature, all of these existing brokering systems primarily evolved around models of centralized hierarchical or client/server. In such models, vital responsibility such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 4 Jan 2014 · 6,896 accessesView PDFCite
