Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCLASSIFICATION OF DIGITAL IMAGES USING FUSION ELEVATED ORDER CLASSIFIER IN WAVELET NEURAL NETWORKR. Arulmurugan, P. SengottuvelanThe revival of wavelet neural networks obtained an extensive use in digital image processing. The shape representation, classification and detection play a very important role in the image analysis. Boosted Greedy Sparse Linear Discriminate Analysis (BGSLDA) trains the cascade level of detection in an efficient manner. With the application of reweighting concept and deployment of class-reparability criterion, lesser search was … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 23 Jun 2014 · 6,792 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFACE RECOGNITION USING RELATIONSHIP LEARNING BASED SUPER RESOLUTION ALGORITHMSenthilSingh, ManikandanThe face recognition is an application which is for identifying a person from a digital image. The common problem that often occurs while identifying the face from image is due to the low resolution in images especially when it is captured from a long distance. In automated face recognition system, this has always been a challeging problem. To overcome this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 16 Jan 2014 · 6,974 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign an Advance Computer-Aided Tool for Image Authentication and ClassificationRozita Teymourzadeh, Amirize Alpha Laadi, Yazan Samir Algnabi et al.Over the years, advancements in the fields of digital image processing and artificial intelligence have been applied in solving many real-life problems. This could be seen in facial image recognition for security systems, identity registrations. Hence a bottleneck of identity registration is image processing. These are carried out in form of image preprocessing, image region extraction by cropping, feature extraction … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 24 Jun 2013 · 6,566 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractInvariant Image Watermarking Using Accurate Zernike MomentsIsmail A. Ismail, Mohamed A. Shouman, Khalid M. Hosny, Hayam M. Abdel SalamProblem statement: Digital image watermarking is the most popular method for image authentication, copyright protection and content description. Zernike moments are the most widely used moments in image processing and pattern recognition. The magnitudes of Zernike moments are rotation invariant so they can be used just as a watermark signal or be further modified to carry embedded data. The computed … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 31 Jul 2010 · 8,014 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Novel Morphological Method for Detection and Recognition of Vehicle License PlatesS.H. Mohades Kasaei, S.M. Mohades Kasaei, S. A. MonadjemiProblem statement: License plate detection and recognition is an image-processing technique used to identify a vehicle by its license plate. This notable technology has got multiple applications in various traffic and security cases. To name but a few, toll roads, border control, security and car tracking are same of its applications. The main stage is the isolation of the license … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 7,656 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Effective Method for the Recognition and Verification of Bangladeshi Vehicle Digital Number PlatesMd. Ashraful Islam, Ahsan HabibIn this study, an effective and automatic technique has been proposed to detect, recognize and verify Bangladeshi number plates. There are four steps in the proposed method: Pre-processing, extraction and segmentation, recognition and verification of the number plate. Image contrast-enhancing and tilt correction techniques are used in the proposed method. Different techniques like edge detection, morphological operations, bounding box method … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 11 · 20 Nov 2021 · 6,512 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordGray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix Bone Fracture DetectionHum Yan Chai, Lai Khin Wee, Tan Tian Swee et al.Problem statement: Currently doctors in orthopedic wards inspect the bone x-ray images according to their experience and knowledge in bone fracture analysis. Manual examination of x-rays has multitude drawbacks. The process is time-consuming and subjective. Approach: Since detection of fractures is an important orthopedics and radiologic problem and therefore a Computer Aided Detection(CAD) system should be developed to improve the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2011 · 8,973 accessesView PDFCite
