Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHuman Visual Sensitivity Guided Bit Embedding for Video SteganographyS. Balu, K. Amudha, D. C. Nelson Kennedy BabuWhile watching a video human visual system gives more attention on the foreground objects than background objects. That is, human vision system pays more attention to the region of interest, such as the human faces in the video content. Most of the video steganography algorithms embed secret information in video by considering every part of the video frames with equal … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 24 Jun 2013 · 6,856 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEmbedded Computer Based Active Vibration Control System for Vibration Reduction of Flexible StructuresVenkata Ratnam Tatavolu, Seetha Ramaiah PanchumarthyResearch on Active Vibration Control System (AVCS) is being carried out to reduce structural vibrations caused by unwanted vibrations in many application areas such as in space, aircraft structures, satellites, automobiles and civil structures (bridges), particularly at low frequencies. The unwanted vibration may cause damage to the structure or degradation to the structure’s performance. The AVCS comprises physical plant, a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 15 Jun 2013 · 6,550 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleClassification of Attacks on Embedded SystemsNoura Ouerdi, M’hammed Ziane, Abdelmalek Azizi, Mostafa AziziThe current growth of the number of Embedded Systems (ES) and their use in sensitive systems attract the attention of attackers. They are exposed to real threats and incur significant risks especially when they are involved in specific military or industrial systems. It is important to study the subject from different angles to understand, predict and learn how to protect … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 19 Sep 2012 · 6,691 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDrawing Meshed One-Line Diagrams of Electric Power Systems using a Modified Controlled Spring Embedder Algorithm Enhanced with Geospatial DataAlexandre de Assis Mota, Lia Toledo Moreira MotaProblem statement: One-line diagrams are widely used in electrical power systems to provide a graphical view of state of the system and to assess its performance. Several methodologies and algorithms have been proposed to automatically draw the power system’s one-line diagram and provide satisfactory results for radial or small-size meshed networks. Nevertheless, actual power systems models are generally associated to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 8,096 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEmbedded Systems Education for Multiple DisciplinesAli H. El-Mousa, Ashraf Al-SuyyaghProblem statement: This study described the process and experience of designing and developing an embedded systems first course that serves different disciplines at the University of Jordan together with its associated laboratory. The course serves three different departments with varying requirements and varying student initial background. The stages of the design process of the course and associated labs are explored. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 28 Jun 2010 · 7,095 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOn Embeddings of Hamiltonian Paths and Cycles in Extended Fibonacci CubesIoana Zelina, Grigor Moldovan, Ioana TascuThe interconnection network is an essential component of a distributed system or of a supercomputer based on large-sale parallel processing. Because in distributed systems the communication between processors is based on message exchange, the network topology is of a great importance. The interconnection network can be seen as a graph and the properties of a network can be studied using … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 7,281 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDynamically Reconfigurable Embedded Architecture-An Alternative To Application-Specific Digital Signal Processing ArchitecturesN. Ramadass, S. Natarajan, J. Raja Paul PerinbamEmerging trends in design of real-time digital signal processing systems indicate that in the future, a significant amount of performance improvement can be achieved using dynamically reconfigurable embedded architectures consisting of reconfigurable, general-purpose components. Although embedded real-time systems have long been prevailing in our society, no firm scientific base has been established yet to handle timing requirements in a systematic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2007 · 6,727 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Case Study of Black-Box Testing for Embedded Software using Test Automation ToolChanghyun Baek, Joongsoon Jang, Gihyun Jung et al.This research shows a case study of the Black-Box testing for Temperature Controller (TC) which is one of the typical embedded systems. A test automation tool, TEST, was developed and some kinds of TCs were tested using the tool. We presented statistical analysis for the test results of the automated testing and defined the properties of the software bugs for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2007 · 8,591 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleNon-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithms for Heterogeneous Embedded System DesignA. K. Rath, S. N. DehuriThe design of complex embedded systems involves the simultaneous optimization of several conflicting and competing objectives. Instead of a single global optimal solution, there exist a set of Pareto optimal solutions. In this study we have used a multi-objective evolutionary optimization algorithms called non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA), which will suit to the requirements of designing a complex heterogeneous embedded … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2006 · 6,693 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign of a Merged DSP Microcontroller for Embedded Systems using Discrete Orthogonal TransformA. K. Rath, P. K. MeherIn this paper we have proposed the design of a DSP microcontroller where the processor load is significantly reduced by relegating the math-intensive DSP algorithm to dedicated transform computing modules. It is shown that the use of such transform modules will facilitate scalability, reusability and flexibility for implementation of wide varieties of DSP functionalities. Moreover, it would be possible to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,918 accessesView PDFCite
