Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTowards a Generic Multimodal Architecture for Batch and Streaming Big Data IntegrationSiham Yousfi, Maryem Rhanoui, Dalila ChiadmiBig Data are rapidly produced from various heterogeneous data sources. They are of different types (text, image, video or audio) and have different levels of reliability and completeness. One of the most interesting architectures that deal with the large amount of emerging data at high velocity is called the lambda architecture. In fact, it combines two different processing layers namely … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2019 · 7,646 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTrade-Off of Frame-Rate and Resolution in Online Game StreamingAhmad Abdel Jabbar Ahmad Mazhar, Ayman Mahmoud Aref AbdallaOnly limited research in the literature focused on assessment of different spatial and temporal resolutions. In addition, the field of synthetic video compression, such as video compression in game streaming, was the focus of only a few research papers. This paper will consider a wide range of synthetic video textures and motion speeds. The visual quality of the compressed video … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 10 · 2 Oct 2017 · 7,855 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Evaluation of Handover in WiMax with TCP and UDP as Underlying ProtocolKaram Dhafer Mayoof, Rosilah Hassan, Amjed Sid Ahmed, Ahmed MarwanThe rejection of an ongoing connection/session is serious problem and it degrades the QoS and efficiency of the network rather than rejecting a request for new connection. The impact on performance of handovers is a serious problem in cellular systems that must be addressed. During handover there may be delay in packets and connections may drop. Real time applications i.e., … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 9 · 12 Dec 2015 · 7,244 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Optimistic Adaptive Modulation Technique for Future Wireless CommunicationKugalur Muthusamy Palaniswamy, Veerappa Gounder PalanisamyThe Future Wireless Communication requires 100 Mbits/s Data rate, streaming audio/video, asymmetric access/multiple access, Adaptive modulation and coding, dynamic packet arrangement, smart antenna adaptation andIPv6 facility to enhance error free communication. Various digital modulation techniques have been taken for simulation and bit error rate is calculated in both MC-CDMA System and OFDMA system. The continuous phase modulation techniques ensures large … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 13 May 2013 · 6,448 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWirelesshd Video Transmission Over Multicarrier Error-CorrectionchannelsMohamed Khedr, Maha SharkasUncompressed High-Definition video streaming over extremely high frequency using wireless technologies, also known as WirelessHD, is a challenge problem because of the high data rate requirement and channel variations. The advantages in RF technology and the huge bandwidth available in the 57-66 GHZ millimeter wave open new era for High Definition applications and high data rates communication. Retransmission is not … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 6 Nov 2012 · 6,582 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAdvanced Information Technology of Slot-Switching Network Schemes for on All-Optical Variable-Length PacketSoung Yue Liew, Edward Sek Khin Wong, Choong Kwai FattProblem Statement: The purpose of this paper was to investigate all optical packet switching, because it was the key to the success of the future Internet. It can meet the stringent bandwidth requirement of future Internet applications, such as real-time video streaming. Due to the lack of optical Random Access Memory (RAM), however, the all-optical schemes studied in the literature … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2010 · 7,186 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMobility Management Technique for Real Time Traffic in 802.11 NetworksGurpal Singh, Ajay Pal Singh Atwal, B.S. SohisA practical mobility management technique aimed at reducing handoff latency to less than 10ms has been proposed and implemented in this paper. Handoff latency has been reduced by decoupling scanning from handoff execution process. This scheme has been implemented in the form of client side application with modifications to open source Madwifi new generation driver. Performance of this mobility management … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2007 · 6,779 accessesView PDFCite
