Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSECURITY IN VEHICULAR AD HOC NETWORK BASED ON INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEMOmkar Pattnaik, Binod Kumar PattanayakImplementation of mobile ad hoc networks has eventually captured practically most of the parts of day-to-day life. One variation of such networks represents the Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs), widely implemented in order to control day-to-day road traffic. The major concern of VANETs is oriented around providing security to moving vehicles that makes it possible to reduce accidents and traffic … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 27 Dec 2013 · 7,022 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractON-THE-FLY KEY GENERATION FOR AN EFFICIENT ROAD SIDE UNITS BASED AUTHENTICATION IN VEHICULAR NETWORKSAshraph Sulaiman, S. V. Kasmir Raja, Sung Han ParkObtaining efficient security without compromising privacy is a primary issue in vehicular communication. Though many counterparts proposed solutions in this regard, accommodating scalability, security and traceability altogether is a difficult task due to the contradictions between these qualities. Some of the previous studies suggests RSU based authentication to address the above issues, while others propose independent OBU authentication. In either … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 4 Jul 2013 · 6,874 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Policy Based Scheme for Combined Data Security in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksL. Kartheesn, S. K. SrivatsaProblem statement: In Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) routing protocols, we require a network-level or link layer security. Since without appropriate security provisions, the MANETs is subjected to attacks like network traffic, replay transmissions, manipulate packet headers and redirect routing messages. In order to address these needs, a policy based network management system that provides the capability to express network … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 6 Aug 2012 · 6,723 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMobility Management for Seamless Information Flow in a Heterogeneous NetworksAdiline Macriga, AnandhakumarProblem statement: In the heterogeneous networks, generally the entire networks operating on the Radio Frequencies under wireless mode available for communication are brought under a single head based on their common operating procedures and functions. As a common mode the basic functions of the networks are requesting, tracing, sending, acknowledging, authenticating, authorizing, receiving, updating, forwarding, controlling, registering, managing. As the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 6,889 accessesView PDF Cite
