Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleLeveraging Cloud Computing for Intelligent Network Management in Smart UniversitiesSitthichai Kao-Ngam, Charuay Savithi, Naruemon PantuchaCloud computing has emerged as a transformative technology that enables users to access shared services over the Internet. Its functions include data storage, processing, and resource management through powerful hardware and effective safeguards. This study uses cloud computing to improve network performance management at Mahasarakham University (MSU), Thailand. The study emphasizes the use of cloud-based tools to improve intelligent network … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 9 · 27 Oct 2025 · 2,911 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCooling Load Prediction in the Under-Actuated Zone with Multilayer Perceptron Artificial Neural NetworkYaddarabullah, Aedah Abd Rahman, Amna SaadThis study focuses on addressing the challenge of predicting cooling loads in under-actuated zones, where the variability in occupant behavior, environmental conditions, and electronic usage creates complex dynamics. Traditional models like Support Vector Regression (SVR) and E-Lastic-Net (ELN) often struggle to capture these non-linear relationships, leading to inefficient Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) management and increased energy consumption. To … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 3 · 27 Jan 2025 · 5,300 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Robust Ensemble Convolutional Neural Networks for Diagnosing Chest DiseasesMansour Ali Alhlalat, Ahmad Abdel-Aziz Sharieh, Mohammed Belal Al-ZoubiRadiologists employ X-ray images to differentiate various chest diseases. Given the intricate and meticulous nature of this diagnostic procedure, the assistance of automated models becomes imperative in detecting and diagnosing diseases from X-ray images. This research paper proposed a novel approach called Ensemble Convolutional Neural Network for Diagnosing Chest Diseases (ECDCNet), aimed at accurately and efficiently diagnosing fifteen different chest … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 12 · 27 Oct 2023 · 5,104 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDETECTING ABNORMAL BEHAVIOR IN SOCIAL NETWORK WEBSITES BY USING A PROCESS MINING TECHNIQUEMahdi Sahlabadi, Ravie Chandren Muniyandi, Zarina ShukurDetecting abnormal user activity in social network websites could prevent from cyber-crime occurrence. The previous research focused on data mining while this research is based on user behavior process. In this study, the first step is defining a normal user behavioral pattern and the second step is detecting abnormal behavior. These two steps are applied on a case study that … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 22 Nov 2013 · 7,916 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Petri Net Based Agent Behavioral TestingZina Houhamdi, Belkacem AthamenaIn Multi-Agent System (MAS), developers concentrate on creating design models and evolving them, from higher level models to lower level models, in several steps. Considerable part of MAS implementations is automatically produced from the design models. If a design model contains faults, they are passed to the generated implementations. Practical model validation techniques are required to discover and delete faults … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 10 Sep 2012 · 6,682 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePetri Nets and Ladder Logic for Fully-Automating and Programmable Logic Control of Semi-Automatic Machines and SystemsMahmoud A. Barghash, Osama M. Abuzeid, Anas N. Al-Rabadi, Ahmad M. JaradatProblem statement: Automating semi-automatic dynamic machines and complex systems, where some functionalities are already automated but the machine doesn’t run fully in automatic mode, represents another challenge to automating dynamic and manual complex systems. This study deals with a special case of this general problem, where the system’s semi-automatic and automatic functionalities run separately in a sequence with either automatic … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 13 Jul 2011 · 8,239 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Novel Approach to Head positioning using Fixed Center Interpolation Net with Weight Elimination AlgorithmMahmoud Zaki IskandaraniA reliable algorithm for head movements inside a vehicle is designed. The proposed algorithm allowed the adjustment of basic functions such as indicators, mirrors and reverse lights based on the driver final head position. The algorithm system mapped a predefined coordinates for driver’s head that resulted in a computable geometry via a sensory system which is fed to the vehicle … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 7,305 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRemoving Useless Productions of a Context Free Grammar through Petri NetMansoor Al-A'ali, Ali A. KhanFollowing the proposal for a Petri Net (PN) representation of the Context Free Grammar (CFG)[1], we propose in this paper, an algorithm to eliminate the useless productions of CFG. First the CFG is represented by a PN. Then, based on the reachability, an algorithm is developed to eliminate Useless-productions. The algorithm is analyzed and implemented in Pascal using examples of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2007 · 6,670 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePetri Net Based Spatio-temporal Relationships for Moving ObjectsYong-shan Liu, Zhong-xiao HaoThis study presents the spatio-temporal constraint relationships of moving objects by employing Petri Net technology. The spatial constraints of moving objects are first presented in this study based on the V4I[1] theory, then the temporal constraints for moving objects are presented by applying this theory to temporal aspect.
