Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMultichannel Cognitive Cross Layer Optimization for Improved Video TransmissionMeenakshi Murugappan, Manimekalai Thirunavukkarasu, Maneesha S. MohanMultimedia applications particularly real-time video transmission in wireless networks, envisions end to end user perceived video quality as an important QoS parameter to be achieved. Cognitive Radio promising efficient spectrum utilization combined with Cross layer optimization is seen as a powerful combination to achieve the desired video quality. This study proposes Optimal Channel Sensed Multichannel Cognitive MAC (OCSM-CMAC), a QoS … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 1 · 6 Feb 2013 · 7,199 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnvironmental Factors and Limbic Vulnerability in Childhood AutismRichard LatheThe rise in prevalence of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is suggestive of a new etiology. Diagnostic substitution alone is unlikely to account for the increase, while genetic association with detoxification gene alleles points to an environmental contribution. Subtle structural anomalies in the ASD brain are widespread but limbic damage seems important for the development of behaviors diagnostic of ASD. The … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2008 · 7,678 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSugarcane Phenological Date Estimation Using Broad-Band Digital CamerasMobasheri, M. Chahardoli, J. Jokar, M. FarajzadehIn the agricultural industry, precision farming is the most important task that attracts lots of attentions. The health of the plant depends mostly on the amount of water in its access that can be estimated through vegetation indices. These indices can be extracted from satellite images through Image processing algorithms. The objective of this research was to provide an equation … …American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2008 · 7,959 accessesView PDF Cite
