Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSECURITY IN VEHICULAR AD HOC NETWORK BASED ON INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEMOmkar Pattnaik, Binod Kumar PattanayakImplementation of mobile ad hoc networks has eventually captured practically most of the parts of day-to-day life. One variation of such networks represents the Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs), widely implemented in order to control day-to-day road traffic. The major concern of VANETs is oriented around providing security to moving vehicles that makes it possible to reduce accidents and traffic … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 27 Dec 2013 · 7,027 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRobust Electronic Differential Controller for an Electric VehicleA. Ravi, Sankaran PalaniThis study presents an efficient and robust control scheme of electronic differential system for an electric vehicle. The proposed system consists of two Brushless DC motors (BLDC) that ensure the drive of the two back driving wheels of an electric vehicle. Electronic Differential Controller (EDC) ensures the maximum torque and it can control both the driving wheel independently to turn … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 11 · 10 Sep 2013 · 7,797 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHighway Traffic Incident Detection using High-Resolution Aerial Remote Sensing ImagerySeyed Mostafa Mousavi Kahaki, Md. Jan NordinProblem statement: As vehicle population increases, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) become more significant and mandatory in today’s overpopulated world. Vital problems in transportation such as mobility and safety of transportation are considered more, especially in metropolitans and highways. The main road traffic monitoring aims are: the acquisition and analysis of traffic figures, such as number of vehicles, incident detection and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 15 Jun 2011 · 7,712 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLevamisole Enhances Cell-Mediated Immune Responses and Reduces Shedding of H9N2 Avian Influenza Virus in Japanese Quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica)Tahoora Shomali, Najmeh Mosleh, Arash AlaeddiniProblem statement: Regarding the role of Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) in reassortment and spreading of avian influenza (AI) viruses and inadequate protection of vaccination in this species, the present study aimed to evaluate the effect of levamisole as an immunomodulatory agent on cell-mediated immunity (CMI), antibody responses and shedding of H9N2 AI virus in experimentally infected quails. Approach: On … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 6 Mar 2012 · 7,655 accessesView PDF Cite
