Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAgent and Radio Frequency Identification Based Architecture for Supermarket Information SystemHasan Al-SakranIn recent years the acceptance of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in business environments has been increasing rapidly due to its competitive business value. Adopting a suitable RFID-based information system has become increasingly important for supermarkets. However, most supermarkets still use conventional barcode-based systems to manage their information processes, which are consistently reported as one of the most unenthusiastic aspects … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 1 Jun 2013 · 6,742 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHardware Implementation of Higher Throughput Anti-Collision Algorithm for Radio Frequency Identification SystemJahariah Sampe, Masuri OthmanThis paper presents a proposed hardware implementation of Higher Throughput Anti-Collision Algorithm (HTACA) for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system. Our proposed HTACA combines a pipeline and a deterministic anti-collision technique in order to enhance its performances. These downlink and uplink operations are concurrently executed during the identification process. The downlink operation is purposely pre-selected a group of tags base on … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2008 · 7,443 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordBoarding School Students Monitoring Systems (E-ID) Using Radio Frequency IdentificationHerdawatie Bt Abdul Kadir, Mohd Helmy Abd. Wahab, Siti Nurul Aqmariah Bt Mohd KanafiahProblem statement: Monitoring Boarding school student movement using the old-fashioned study system is inefficient and brings difficulty to the hostel management to check attendance manually. By using RFID technology, student movement is quick and easy. Approach: The application of RFID Matrix Card system as a boarding school students monitoring system (E-ID) were purposed to improve school management system and to … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2009 · 9,118 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordNew RFID System Architectures Supporting Situation Awareness under Ubiquitous EnvironmentsDongwon Jeong, Young-Gab Kim, Hoh InMany sensors providing situation data will be in everywhere under the ubiquitous environment. The current RFID system should be extended to recognize and use situation information from the sensors. This study proposes RFID system architectures that are suitable for the ubiquitous environment. This study applies the situation awareness concept to and extends the current RFID system architecture to be able … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 28 Jul 2006 · 7,045 accessesView PDF Cite
