Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesGENERALIZED REGRESSION NEURAL NETWORK BASED EXPERT SYSTEM FOR HEPATITIS B DIAGNOSISC. Mahesh, E. Kannan, M. S. SaravananHepatitis B is a potentially life-threatening liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus. The virus interferes with the function of the liver while replicating in hepatocytes. It is a major global health problem and the most serious type of viral hepatitis. Chronic liver disease is caused by viral hepatitis and putting people at high risk of death from cirrhosis … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 3 Dec 2013 · 6,985 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesBiosorption of Textile Dye Using Immobilized Bacterial (Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and Fungal (Phanerochate chrysosporium) CellsNatarajan Saravanan, Tiruvenkadam Kannadasan, Chiya Ahmed Basha, Veerasamy ManivasaganWastewater containing dyes presents a serious problem due to its high toxicity which leads to creating enormous environmental pollution and ecological hazards. Therefore the removal of the high stable dyes from the textile effluents is of major importance. The purpose of this study is to remove the reactive dye Procion Blue 2G from textile dye solution by biosorption process using … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 16 Sep 2013 · 7,358 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesA Role of Intrusion Detection System for Wireless Lan Using Various Schemes and Related IssuesKamalanaban Ethala, R. Seshadri, N. G. Renganathan, M. S. SaravananThe advancement in network based technology and augmented dependability of our everyday life on this technology. During recent years, number of attacks on networks has intensely increased. Hence interest in network intrusion detection has increased among the researchers. This study assesses different kinds of IDS and inclines preemptive procedures. An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is used to automate the intrusion … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 24 Aug 2013 · 7,171 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesNON-COOPERATIVE IRIS RECOGNITION: A NOVEL APPROACH FOR SEGMENTATION AND FAKE IDENTIFICATIONM. Rajeev Kumar, M. Dilsath Fathima, K. Kiruthika, M. S. SaravananIris recognition, the ability to recognize and distinguish individuals by their pattern, is the most reliable biometric in terms of recognition and identification performance. However, performance of these systems is affected by the heterogeneous images (regarding focus, contrast, or brightness) and with several noise factors (iris obstruction and reflection) when the cooperation is not expectable from the subject. Current Iris … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,750 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesSECRET HANDSHAKE ISSUE AND VALIDATE AUTHORITY BASED AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKKamalanaban Ethala, R. Seshadri, N. G. Renganathan, M. S. SaravananWireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are major research area in the past few decades. WSN is formed by collection of sensor nodes. Power source life and memory size limit the hardware sources and these will decide the lifesapn of sensor nodes in WSN. Therefore, many resources based research issues are evolved in WSN. This study focused security issue and proposed authentication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,433 accessesView PDFCite

Video is the particular media which contains complex collection of objects like audio, motion, text, color and picture. Due to the rapid growth of this information video indexing process is mandatory for fast and effective retrieval. Many current indexing techniques fails … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 16 May 2013 · 6,543 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesAn Optimal Rate Adjustment Algorithm for Medium Access Control Protocol in 802.11 Multi Hop Ad Hoc NetworksT. Ravichandran, K. SaravananProblem statement: Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol plays an important role in providing a fair and efficient allocation of limited bandwidth in wireless LANs. In IEEE 802.11 standard protocol, data rate selection is not specified. Rate control is the process of switching data rates dynamically based on channel conditions, with the target of selecting the rate that will provide the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 9 Jun 2012 · 7,030 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesBuffer Pocketing and Pre-Checking on Buffer UtilizationK. Saravanan, R. M. SureshProblem statement: In this study, the paper proposes the development of Effective Buffer Utilization on Adaptive Router with Buffer Pocketing and Pre-Buffer Checking Technique. Network-on-Chip could be prepared more capable by tricky faster routers. By using improved buffers, superior number of ports and channels, adaptive routing, all of which acquire key of overheads in hardware costs. Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesEfficient Star Topology based Multicast Key Management AlgorithmK. Saravanan, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: Secure group communication is very important for many applications such as internet pay sites. It provides efficient delivery of identical data to only the customers in the group. In large and dynamic multicast groups, the group keys of members have to be changed frequently whenever the member leaves or joins. A common method is to apply a symmetric … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 22 Mar 2012 · 7,350 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesCharacteristic Study of the Marine Algae Sargassum sp. on Metal AdsorptionA. Saravanan, V. Brindha, Soundarajan KrishnanProblem statement: Biomass of brown marine macro algae is a biological resource that is available in large quantities and can form a good base for the development of biosorbent material. Approach: Algae have been found to be potentially suitable biosorbents because of its cheap availability, both in fresh or salt water, relatively high surface area and high binding affinity.
