Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Analysis of IEEE 802.16d using Forward Error CorrectionVenkatesh Sekar, V. Palanisamy, K. BaskaranProblem statement: Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access is the broadband wireless technology for terrestrial broadcast services in Metropolitan Area Networks. This BWA technology is based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) technology and considers the radio frequency range up to 2-11 GHz and 10-66 GHz. The objective of this research work is the performance analysis of AWGN, SUI-1 and SUI-2 … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 9 Mar 2011 · 7,336 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleBuilding Information Modeling for Indoor Environmental Performance AnalysisYaik-Wah LimThere are increasing numbers of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software available nowadays which change the working methods in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. From the stages of building design development to post-occupancy management, BIM plays an essential role in collaboration among multi-discipline professions, time and cost saving, fabrication and construction as well as facilities management. With the arising concern … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 29 Apr 2015 · 7,992 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleFeasibility Study and Performance Analysis of Solar Assisted Desiccant Cooling Technology in Hot and Humid ClimateArfidian Rachman, Kamaruzzaman Sopian, Sohif Mat, Muhammad YahyaProblem statement: New approaches to space conditioning of buildings are to resolve environmental, economic and regulatory issues. One of the alternative systems that brought to agenda is the desiccant cooling systems, which may provide important advantages in solving air conditioning problems. Approach: The performance analysis of desiccant cooling with solar energy are analyzed. The system was designed, constructed and tested … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 11 Jul 2011 · 7,503 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Analysis of Multi-user Multi Input Multi Output- Interleave-Division Multiple-Access System Employing Turbo Coding with Multi-User Detection over Frequency-Selective Wireless Communication ChannelKuttathatti Srinivasan Vishvaksenan, R. Seshasayanan, Yuvaraj KrishnamoorthyProblem statement: This study presents the performance analysis of multi-user Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) assisted interleave based multiple-access system. In IDMA, different interleavers are used to distinguish users as against different signature sequence in a conventional code-Division Multiple-Access (CDMA) scheme. Approach: The basic principle of IDMA is that the interleaver is unique for the users. Results: In this study, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 6,881 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Analysis of a 32-Bit Multiplier with a Carry-Look-Ahead Adder and a 32-bit Multiplier with a Ripple Adder using VHDLHasan Krad, Aws Y. Al-TaieThis study presents a performance analysis of two different multipliers for unsigned data, one uses a carry-look-ahead adder and the second one uses a ripple adder. The study's main focus is on the speed of the multiplication operation on these 32-bit multipliers which are modeled using VHDL, A hardware description language. The multiplier with a carry-look-ahead adder has shown a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2008 · 7,385 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF IMAGE SECURITY BASED ON ENCRYPTED HYBRID COMPRESSIOND. Ramkumar, I. Jacob RaglendIn this research, we propose an image security scheme using hybrid compression techniques. In this scheme, the data is being provided two-fold security by both encryption stage and hiding stage. The data/message which has to be secured undergoes encryption technique at the initial stage. In this stage, the permutation algorithm is employed which requires a pair of numbers as a … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 7 · 26 Apr 2014 · 6,712 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Analysis of Downward Handoff Latency in a WLAN/GPRS Interworking SystemMandalaparty B.R. Murthy, Fredson A. PhiriThis study presents the performance analysis of a new tight coupling based WLAN/GPRS interworking architecture. The effects of network traffic on downward handoff latency are investigated. The results indicate that increasing WLAN traffic increases the overall downward handoff latency more than increasing GPRS traffic. On the other hand, increasing GPRS traffic results in higher packet buffering requirements at the Serving … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2005 · 6,868 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleComputer Vision for Reducing Food Waste in an Institutional Canteen: A Literature Review and Performance AnalysisAna Correia, Clara Aidos, João M. L. P. Caldeira et al.Food waste in today's society has been the subject of growing interest and discussion, given its economic, environmental, social, and nutritional implications. Although food waste is present throughout the food supply chain, in developed countries it tends to be higher in the final stages of consumption (e.g., households and food services). This study focuses on institutional canteens, where food waste … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 4 · 10 Mar 2025 · 6,332 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF RANDOMIZED REVERSE AD HOC ON DEMAND DISTANCE VECTOR ROUTING PROTOCOL IN MANETK. Santhi, B. ParvathavarthiniIn high mobility, routing in Mobile Ad-Hoc Network is a very difficult task. In AODV and RAODV, all the data packets are travel through the same shortest path so the intruders can easily trace out the data path. The main objective of Randomized RAODV provides the multipath and then the paths are selected randomly for security purposes. Using randomized routing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 30 Apr 2014 · 6,809 accessesView PDFCite
