Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMotor Oil Viscosity Stratification in Friction Units of Marine Diesel MotorsSergey Viktorovich Sagin, Oleksandr Vladymyrovich SemenovThe phenomenon of the motor oil viscosity stratification in lubricating the cylinder-piston units of marine diesel engines has been investigated. The correlations for determining the shear stress and the velocity, occurring in the liquid flow between the parallel planes, have been given. The modes of the hydrodynamic and the boundary lubrication, taking place in the cylinder assembly of the marine … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 2 · 15 Feb 2016 · 8,011 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMultiresolution Analysis Based Effective Diagnosis of Induction MotorsHouda Ben Attia Sethom, Mediha Ajjabi GhedamsiProblem statement: Effective detection and localization of unbalance voltage supply affecting an induction motor may be compromised in presence of additionnal noise. Approach: In order to overcome the non possibility of the default detection and localization in presence of noise, the use of the discrete wavelet transform and especially the MultiResolution Analysis algorithm, to remove efficiently the noise associated to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 20 Feb 2012 · 8,102 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOn the Influence of Stator Slot shape on the Energy Conservation Associated with the Submersible Induction MotorsM. Sundaram, P. NavaneethanProblem statement: A good design of Submersible Induction Motor is required to maintain maximum efficiency level. This can be achieved in one way by optimum design of magnetic circuit. The magnetic circuit of an Induction Motor is formed by the combination of Stator core, Rotor core and air gap. In applications like Submersible Motor Pumps, the air gap cannot be … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 18 Apr 2011 · 7,710 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAbout Aircraft's New Power and PropulsionRelly Victoria Virgil Petrescu, Florian Ion Tiberiu PetrescuEven though the current classical methods of aerospace propulsion are much improved, some of the most modern methods have already been introduced, including propulsion with electric motors. Energy can be obtained from hydrogen burners, honeycomb burners to protect the combustion of hydrogen that burns 10 times faster than conventional fuels or alcohols. Hydrogen storage is also done in honeycomb cell … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 1 · 5 Mar 2020 · 7,325 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSynchronous Generator Disturbance Provoked by Induction Motor StartingS. P.Y. Santos, E. Delbone, E. F. Carvalho, L. N. MartinsProblem statement: This study presented an alternative procedure for the starting of large Inductions Motors (IM) in isolated generation systems. Approach: In isolated generation systems on stand-by or base load, the starting of the IM provoked sags frequently beyond the ability of the other consumers in the plant to stand. Manufacturers' solutions always recommend a supersized generator to decrease transient … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2010 · 6,939 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsContributions to the Stirling Engine StudyFlorian Ion Tiberiu PetrescuIn the process of transforming thermal energy into mechanical work, among the known thermal machines, the Stirling engine is the one that can achieve the highest yield (theoretically up to the maximum yield of the Carnot cycle), although in practice it is reduced by the properties of gas and materials used such as friction coefficient, thermal conductivity, melting point, breaking … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 4 · 22 Nov 2018 · 10,172 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsGeorge (Gogu) ConstantinescuRelly Victoria Virgil Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Antonio Apicella et al.George (Gogu) Constantinescu (October 4, 1891 - December 11, 1965) was a Romanian scientist and engineer, often considered to be one of the most important Romanian engineers. He was responsible for creating a new field of mechanics, called "sonicity," which describes the transmission of energy through vibrations in fluid or solid bodies. He applied the new theory to numerous inventions: … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 5 Dec 2017 · 8,571 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Data Mining Technique to Find Optimal Customers for Beneficial Customer Relationship ManagementG. Babu, T. BhuvaneswariProblem statement: Modern companies and organizations are efficiently implementing a CRM strategy for managing a company interactions and relationships with customers. CRM systems have been developed and designed to support the areas of marketing, service process and sales. Many literature studies are available to preserve the customer relationship but small drawbacks occur in the existing methods. One method to maintain … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 1 Nov 2011 · 7,260 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign and Implementation of a Smart File Cabinet System With Enhanced Security and Remote AccessAdebayo Afeez Oluwagbenga, Mustapha Favour, Adebiyi Temidayo Daniel et al.In an era increasingly defined by digital interconnectivity, the physical security of sensitive hard-copy documents remains a persistent vulnerability in organizational infrastructure. Traditional filing cabinets, relying on passive mechanical locks, lack the capability for real-time monitoring, remote access control, or active intrusion detection. This research presents the design and validation of a Smart File Cabinet (SFC) system that bridges this … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 25 May 2026 · 1,696 accessesView PDFCite
