Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Policy Based Scheme for Combined Data Security in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksL. Kartheesn, S. K. SrivatsaProblem statement: In Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) routing protocols, we require a network-level or link layer security. Since without appropriate security provisions, the MANETs is subjected to attacks like network traffic, replay transmissions, manipulate packet headers and redirect routing messages. In order to address these needs, a policy based network management system that provides the capability to express network … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 6 Aug 2012 · 6,723 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAdaptive Multi-Path Routing for Load Balancing in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksS. Soundararajan, R. S. BhuvaneswaranProblem statement: Load balancing and network congestion are the major problems in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET) routing. Most of the existing routing protocols provide solutions to load balancing or congestion or fault-tolerance, individually. Approach: We propose congestion controlled adaptive multi-path routing protocol to achieve load balancing and avoid congestion in MANETs. The algorithm for finding multi-path routes computes fail-safe multiple … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 18 Feb 2012 · 7,449 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMobile Element Scheduling for Efficient Data Collection in Wireless Sensor Networks: A SurveyK. Indra Gandhi, P. NarayanasamyProblem statement: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has become a very interesting field of research and has been deployed for various applications. The data sensed by the sensors need to be transmitted over to a Base Station (BS) where the data processing is done. Approach: The existing systems generally employ Multi-hop routing for data aggregation at the BS, where several nodes … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 15 Jan 2011 · 7,289 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Novel Routing Protocol with High Energy Performance in Mobile Special NetworksAli Norouzi, B. Berk UstundagProblem statement: Mobile Special Networks do not have a predetermined structure. This type of networks can dynamically reorganize network connection relationships due to change of neighborhoods and the relative positions. Approach: There are many problems in creation of a special network such as routing, wireless media, energy consumption and transportability. Results: Although these networks primarily had been formed for small … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 15 Jan 2011 · 7,304 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleReliable and Efficient Broadcasting in Asymmetric Mobile Ad Hoc Networks Using Minimized Forward Node List AlgorithmMarimuthu Murugesan, Ammasai KrishnanProblem statement: Network wide broadcasting is a fundamental operation in ad hoc networks. In broadcasting, a source node sends a message to all the other nodes in the network. Unlike in a wired network, a packet transmitted by a node in ad hoc wireless network can reach all neighbors. Therefore, the total number of transmissions (Forwarding nodes) used as the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 27 Dec 2010 · 7,577 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe Use of Taguchi Method to Determine Factors Affecting the Performance of Destination Sequence Distance Vector Routing Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksHazura. Mohamed, Muhammad Hisyam Lee, Mazalan Sarahintu et al.In this study, Taguchi method was used to identify the several factors that may affect the performance of Destination Sequence Distance Vector (DSDV) routing protocol. The performance of DSDV routing protocol in mobile ad hoc networks were greatly influence by factors such as node speed, node pause time and traffic load. Problem statement: By using orthogonal experimental design and analysis … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,797 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Novel Multicast Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksZeyad M. Alfawaer, GuiWei Hua, Noraziah AhmedIn mobile ad hoc networks, how to achieve the multicast communication is a challenging task due to the fact that the topology may change frequently and communication links may be broken because of users' mobility. We introduced MANHSI (Multicast for Ad hoe Network with hybrid Swarm Intelligence) protocol, which relies on a swarm intelligence based optimization technique to learn and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2007 · 7,297 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHybrid Optimize Strategy based QoS Route Algorithm for Mobile Ad hoc NetworksFu Peng, Zhang DeyunIt is very difficult to find feasible QoS (Quality of service) routes in the mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), because of the nature constrains of it, such as dynamic network topology, wireless communication link and limited process capability of nodes. In order to reduce average cost in flooding path discovery scheme of the traditional MANETs routing protocols and increase the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2006 · 6,546 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFault Node Detection and Connectivity Restoration with Mobile Relay Node in Wireless Sensor NetworksM.P. Anuradha, A.M. Swetha, Manivannan DoraipandianIn Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), node failure is an imperative concern in a hostile environment. These node failures create disjoints in the network and leads to a network partitioning problem. It is important for the nodes to be alive and communicate with each other to check the network connectivity. Replacement of Mobile Relay Nodes (MRN) in the location of faulty … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 1 Apr 2020 · 7,917 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMESSAGE AUTHENTICATION CODE BASED SECURE GROUP KEY MANAGEMENT PROTOCOL FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKST. Peer Meera Labbai, V. RajamaniA mobile ad hoc network is a group of nodes which are communicating with each other with the use of radio frequencies. When there is high movement of mobile nodes, the nodes find difficult to reach other nodes. If the data are exchanged between nodes when there is high mobility, the data may be lost in transit. Therefore the security … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,727 accessesView PDFCite
