Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMobile Agents in Heterogeneous Networks: A Look on PerformanceR. B. Patel, Neeraj GoelMobile agents can be seen as a new paradigm for distributed computing. One characteristic of mobile agents is their autonomy and pro-activity. This article present a framework designed on top of PMADE (Platform for Mobile Agent Distribution and Execution) to support our research in this domain. Our framework consists of three modules. The Map Module collects information on the available … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2006 · 6,490 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAdaptive Hybrid Mobile Agent Protocol for Wireless Multihop Internet AccessA. Velmurugan, R. RajaramInternet-based Mobile Ad Hoc Networking (MANET) is an emerging technology that supports self-organizing mobile networking infrastructures. This is expected to be of great use in commercial applications for the next generation Internet users. A number of technical challenges are faced today due to the heterogeneous, dynamic nature of this hybrid MANET. A new hybrid routing scheme AODV_ALMA is proposed, which … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2006 · 6,119 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Network Management Framework Using Mobile AgentsJonathan Lefebvre, Steven Chamberland, Samuel PierreNetwork management of heterogeneous networks is still hard to achieve automatically and efficiently. In this study, we present a framework that has the ability to perform network management tasks on heterogeneous networks using mobile agents. This framework handles the inability of many network devices to run mobile agents. While the main focus of the project is the framework, we present … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2006 · 7,026 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMobile Agents in Wireless LAN and Cellular Data NetworksR. B. Patel, V. K. Katiyar, Vishal GargAdvancing technology in wireless communication offers users anytime, anywhere access to information and network resources without restricting them to the fixed network infrastructure. Mobile computing represents a shift in the distributed systems paradigm. The potential of decoupled and disconnected operation, location-dependent computation and communication and powerful portable computing devices gives rise to opportunities for new patterns of distributed computation that … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 7,083 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleLoad Balancing on Open Networks: A Mobile Agent ApproachR. B. Patel, Neetu AggarwalIn order to disperse the load on a Web server, generally the server cluster is configured to distribute access requests, or mirror servers are distributed geographically on different networks. Use of the Internet and the World-Wide-Web (WWW) has become widespread in recent years and mobile agent technology has proliferated at an equally rapid rate to evenly distribute the requests to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2006 · 6,616 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleRetrieving Information from the Invisible Web Using Mobile AgentsFabien-Kenzo Sato, Samuel Pierre, Roch H. GlithoThis study proposes a model of information retrieval on the invisible Web by using the mobile agent paradigm. The developed architecture uses the power of a search engine to provide a list of sites of the invisible Web which are likely to be relevant and launches a dynamic search on these sites, thanks to mobile agents. To compare and experiment … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,839 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDynamic Distributed Intrusion Detection System Based on Mobile Agents with Fault ToleranceR. Sasikumar, D. ManjulaProblem statement: In earlier days, each and every individual system has particular IDS to the particular system and due to this particular technique there are many drawbacks and much more drawbacks in the system side networks. “All processes used in discovery of unauthorized uses of network or computer devices” Detection of unusual and abnormal activity/events in real-time. Detects break-ins or … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 26 May 2012 · 6,929 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleUSING MOBILE AGENTS FOR LOAD BALANCING IN PEER-TO-PEER SYSTEMS HOSTING VIRTUAL SERVERSVijayaKumar G. Dhas, S. Saibharath, V. Rhymend UthariarajThis study proposes a novel load-balancing algorithm for managing virtual servers in a Peer-To-Peer (P2P) system through mobile agents. The proposed algorithm is implemented in a fully decentralized manner for a structured P2P system. It uses mobile agents and is independent of the geometry of the P2P auxiliary networks. The load-balancing algorithm effectively reduces the load imbalance of the system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 27 Jan 2014 · 6,353 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Flexible and Reliable Architecture for Mobile Agent SecurityGhossoon M.W. Al-SaadoonProblem statement: Wireless application protocol is a protocol that makes it possible to surf the Internet from a cellular phone or other handheld wireless. Many of us that surf the Internet from home with a 56 kbps modem think that it is slow and a cell phone only uses 9.6 kbps so WAP has to take the lesser bandwidth into … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2009 · 7,324 accessesView PDFCite
