Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractComputer Simulator: An Educational Tool for Computer ArchitectureMihyar HessonThe great advancement in computer architecture and cache memory design and technology had a considerable influence on the way computer architecture was taught in universities. This requires students to be able to visualize the detailed activities that take place within a computer processor and its interaction with memory system. Computer simulators could effectively be used to enhance the understanding and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2006 · 7,468 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMachine Motion Equations Presented in a New General FormatNicolae Petrescu, Florian Ion Tiberiu PetrescuConsidering the increased importance of robots nowadays, when no large factory or factory can work without robots, we want to present in the work the motion equations of the machine in an original form, both in terms of aspect and their deduction. The machine's motion equations can be used in dynamic calculations at any type of machine, whether it be … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 22 May 2019 · 6,131 accessesView PDFCite

Yassin, Abdullah Mohammed Rashid, Ahmed A. AlkadhmaweeModern industries for smart mobile devices, such as smartphones, provide end users with interactive features that consider network accessibility, computation performance, storage usage, energy saving and limited battery resources. The combination of cloud and mobile computing capabilities has introduced a new technology called Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC), which has extended smartphones and modern mobile devices beyond their core capacities. Many … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 9 May 2019 · 7,871 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Static Analysis of Android Source Code for Lifecycle Development Usage PatternsNoura Hoshieah, Samer Zein, Norsaremah Salleh, John GrundyBuilding robust Android apps is a non-trivial task that requires skilled developers to understand various Android platform peculiarities. However, among the Android developers community, a large fractions are considered to be novice and inexperienced developers. One of the main peculiarities in the Android app development is the activity lifecycle model. A developer needs to have deep understanding of the different … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 1 · 10 Jan 2019 · 8,661 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnsemble Divide and Conquer Approach to Solve the Rating Scores’ Deviation in Recommendation SystemIsmail Ahmed Al-Qasem Al-Hadi, Nurfadhlina Mohd Sharef, Md Nasir Sulaiman, Norwati MustaphaThe rating matrix of a personalized recommendation system contains a high percentage of unknown rating scores which lowers the quality of the prediction. Besides, during data streaming into memory, some rating scores are misplaced from its appropriate cell in the rating matrix which also decrease the quality of the prediction. The singular value decomposition algorithm predicts the unknown rating scores … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 12, Issue 6 · 25 Jun 2016 · 7,701 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractGRID-IMAGE PASSWORD BASED SCHEME: ENHANCING MEMORABILITY FEATURES OF PASSWORDSObasan Adebola, Norafida Ithnin, Mohd Zalisham JaliPassword authentication has become a widely recognized element of computer security practices where human users are proven or confirmed as legitimate users for access to secure systems. Using this system, every user needs to recall its password correctly before access can be granted to an intended services or applications. Remembering the secure passwords is an everyday problem for users because … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 7 · 9 Sep 2014 · 6,673 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA LOAD BALANCING MODEL USING FIREFLY ALGORITHM IN CLOUD COMPUTINGA. Paulin Florence, V. ShanthiCloud computing is a model that points at streamlining the on-demand provisioning of software, hardware and data as services and providing end-users with flexible and scalable services accessible through the Internet. The main objective of the proposed approach is to maximize the resource utilization and provide a good balanced load among all the resources in cloud servers. Initially, a load … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 15 Feb 2014 · 8,763 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLow Power Analog Multiplier Using MifgmosK. Duraisamy, U. RagavendranA novel 4-quadrant analog multiplier using Floating Gate MOS (FGMOS) transistors operating in saturation region are implemented. Floating gate MOSFETs are being utilized in a number of new and existing analog applications. These devices are not only useful for designing memory elements but also we can implement circuit elements. The main advantage in FGMOS is that the drain current is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 14 May 2013 · 6,343 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Survey on Joint Compression and Encryption Techniques for Video DataK. John Singh, R. ManimegalaiProblem statement: When we send any video data over the network it consumes more time. This is due to the huge size of the video file when compared to text file. Therefore, video data should be compressed before sending to the destination. Another important factor during data transfer is security. Joint compression and encryption is employed to enable faster and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 28 Feb 2012 · 7,344 accessesView PDFCite
