Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHybrid Connection Simulation Using Dynamic Nodal Numbering AlgorithmAlongkorn Lamom, Thaksin Thepchatri, Wanchai RivepiboonProblem statement: The traditional dynamic nodal numbering algorithm was proposed for generating code number to support truss and frame simulation using only one element type, frame element; it facilitates the software development process. The traditional algorithm, however, supports simulation of only two types of connection: Hinged connection and rigid connection. In many cases, the problems consist of mix-connection and hybrid … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2010 · 8,199 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Hybrid Architecture Approach for Quantum AlgorithmsMohammad Reza Soltan Aghaei, Zuriati Ahmad Zukarnain, Ali Mamat, Hishamuddin ZainuddinProblem statement: In this study, a general plan of hybrid architecture for quantum algorithms is proposed. Approach: Analysis of the quantum algorithms shows that these algorithms were hybrid with two parts. First, the relationship of classical and quantum parts of the hybrid algorithms was extracted. Then a general plan of hybrid structure was designed. Results: This plan was illustrated the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2009 · 6,979 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSolving the Vehicle Routing Problem with Stochastic Demands via Hybrid Genetic Algorithm-Tabu SearchZ. Ismail, IrhamahThis study considers a version of the stochastic vehicle routing problem where customer demands are random variables with known probability distribution. A new scheme based on a hybrid GA and Tabu Search heuristic is proposed for this problem under a priori approach with preventive restocking. The relative performance of the proposed HGATS is compared to each GA and TS alone, … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2008 · 7,951 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHybrid Multi-Layer Perceptron and Enhanced Edge-Free Active Contour Model Lung Nodule Detection AlgorithmShengguang PengA computer-assisted method is usually used to identify pneumoconiosis by segmenting and classifying the initial area of interest. The accuracy of current techniques for segmenting and classifying lung nodules is often suboptimal. Therefore, a hybrid Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) and enhanced edge-free active contour model (CV) algorithm are proposed to solve this problem. First, lung nodules are identified by the MLP … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 21, Issue 1 · 25 Jan 2025 · 5,540 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Hybrid Metaheuristic Algorithm for Diseases Classification Using UAV ImagesYagnasree Sirivella, Anuj JainRecent advances in technology are very astounding since they have made it possible to manage and monitor systems remotely. Traditional farming is undergoing a transition towards "smart farming" with the assistance of technological breakthroughs, which include the implementation of intelligent irrigation systems and the remote monitoring of the development of crops. In particular, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle plays a significant … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 10 · 11 Sep 2023 · 5,251 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleGeometrical Approach to a New Hybrid Grid-Based Gravitational Clustering AlgorithmFaisal Bin Al Abid, A.N.M. Rezaul Karim, Golam Rahman ChowdhuryIn the past years, several clustering algorithms have been developed, for example, K-means, K-medoid. Most of these algorithms have the common problem of selecting the appropriate number of clusters and these algorithms are sensitive to noisy data and would cause less accurate clustering of the data set. Therefore, this paper introduces a new Hybrid Grid-based Gravitational Clustering Algorithm (HGGCA) geometrically, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 3 · 9 Mar 2021 · 6,783 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHybrid Ant Colony Optimization and Genetic Algorithm for Rule InductionHayder Naser Khraibet AL-Behadili, Ku Ruhana Ku-Mahamud, Rafid SagbanIn this study, a hybrid rule-based classifier namely, ant colony optimization/genetic algorithm ACO/GA is introduced to improve the classification accuracy of Ant-Miner classifier by using GA. The Ant-Miner classifier is efficient, useful and commonly used for solving rule-based classification problems in data mining. Ant-Miner, which is an ACO variant, suffers from local optimization problem which affects its performance. In our … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 7 · 24 Jul 2020 · 7,899 accessesView PDFCite
