Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHistogram of Intensity Feature Extraction for Automatic Plastic Bottle Recycling System Using Machine VisionSuzaimah Ramli, Mohd Marzuki Mustafa, Aini Hussain, Dzuraidah Abdul WahabCurrently, many recycling activities adopt manual sorting for plastic recycling that relies on plant personnel who visually identify and pick plastic bottles as they travel along the conveyor belt. These bottles are then sorted into the respective containers. Manual sorting may not be a suitable option for recycling facilities of high throughput. It has also been noted that the high … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 6 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,083 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFall Detection Using the Histogram of Oriented Gradients and Decision-Based FusionMohamed Maher Ben Ismail, Arwa AlGabas, Ouiem BchirAs the number of fall incidents among elderly people and patients are continuously growing, researches boosted their researches to propose efficient automatic fall detection systems. In particular, they formulated the fall detection problem as a supervised learning task where some visual features are extracted from the video frames and used to automatically identify the position of a human as “Fall” … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 2 · 26 Feb 2020 · 7,500 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleShot Detection Using Genetic Edge Histogram and Object Based Video Retrieval Using Multiple FeaturesR. Kanagavalli, K. DuraiswamyAs the usage of multimedia data increasing rapidly, how to get the video data we need efficiently become so important. Recent advances in multimedia technologies allow the capture and storage of video data with relatively inexpensive computers. Problem Statement: However, without appropriate search techniques all these data are hardly usable. Users want to query the content instead of the raw … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 3 Aug 2012 · 6,853 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecurity Guard Robot Detecting Human Using Gaussian Distribution Histogram MethodMbaitiga ZacharieProblem statement: The purpose of any robotic is to perform tasks that a human would prefer not to do or hopefully do it with precision in order to avoid mistakes or when a human is out of duty due to fatigue or health reasons. The research into human detection into images has paid the way be aware of what is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 5 Aug 2010 · 7,056 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleBi-Level Classification of Color Indexed Image Histograms for Content Based Image RetrievalKarpagam Vilvanathan, Rangarajan RangaswamyThis dissertation proposes content based image classification and retrieval with Classification and Regression Tree (CART). A simple CBIR system (WH) is designed and proved to be efficient even in the presence of distorted and noisy images. WH exhibits good performance in terms of precision, without using any intensive image processing feature extraction techniques. Unique indexed color histogram and wavelet decomposition … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 26 Apr 2013 · 6,438 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleVideo Retrieval using Histogram and Sift Combined with Graph-based Image SegmentationTran Quang Anh, Pham Bao, Tran Thuong Khanh et al.Problem statement: Content-Based Video Retrieval (CBVR) is still an open hard problem because of the semantic gap between low-level features and high-level features, largeness of database, keyframe’s content, choosing feature. In this study we introduce a new approach for this problem based on Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) feature, a new metric and an object retrieval method. Conclusion/Recommendations: Our algorithm is built … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 15 Mar 2012 · 7,013 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEarly Plant Disease Detection Using Graph Isomorphic Networks: Enhancing Crop Yield Through Leaf AnalysisD. Sumathi, Sreejyothsna Ankam, Pravin Prakash Adivarekar et al.The economy of Tanzania is mostly driven by agriculture. Disease is one of the reasons that contributes to the low production of staple foods like cassava and maize, alongside climate change. Loss of income and food security are the results. In order to detect the diseases early, preventative measures are required. A potential option for farmers could be the use … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 9 · 15 Oct 2025 · 3,101 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMultimodal Face Expression Recognition Using Parametric Exponential Linear Unit-Long Short-Term MemoryKampa Ratna Babu, Akula Suneetha, Kampa Kanthi KumarMultimodal facial expression recognition combines information from multiple modalities of audio and video to achieve the required accuracy and robustness. By integrating different data sources, multimodal systems capture different aspects of human expression. However, accurately recognizing facial expressions across audio and video modalities causes challenges due to variations in expression representation. In this research, Parametric Exponential Linear Unit-Long Short-Term Memory … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 10 · 17 Aug 2024 · 4,612 accessesView PDFCite
