Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMobile Node Speed Detection Mechanism in Hierarchical Mobile Internet Protocol (IPv6)Zulkeflee Kusin, Mohamad Shanudin ZakariaProblem statement: IETF has introduced Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6) to support mobility problem in the next generation Internet Protocol (IPv6). The key concept behind this protocol is the usage of Mobility Anchor Point (MAP) located at any level router of network to support hierarchical mobility management and seamless handover. The distance MAP selection in HMIPv6 causes MAP overloaded as the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 9 · 27 Jul 2011 · 6,614 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractModeling Heterogeneity in Phase II Clinical TrialsChristopher N. Barnes, Shesh N. RaiProblem statement: The common assumption in non-randomized Phase II clinical trials is a homogeneous population with homogeneous response. This assumption is at odds with many trials today; a heterogeneous response due to the existence of subgroups. Approach: In order to examine the effects of heterogeneity on the trial outcome, a systematic platform is developed to quantify the range and classes … …Current Research in Biostatistics, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 30 Jun 2010 · 10,127 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign and Analysis of Virtual Bus Transport Using Synchronous Digital Hierarchy/Synchronous Optical NetworkingR. Hassan, J. Irvine, I. GloverThis study presented a new data link layer design for the virtual bus architecture. The virtual bus is a hierarchical access network offered a broadcast capability for data and signaling. The proposed of the study is to support Quality of Service (QoS) in network. During study, the most promising technology capable of delivering full service access at high data rates … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 6,962 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Scheduling Algorithm Based on Petri Nets and Simulated AnnealingRachida Hadiby Ghoul, Abdelhamid Benjelloul, Sihem Kechida, Hicham TebbikhThis study aims at presenting a hybrid Flexible Manufacturing System "HFMS" short-term scheduling problem. Based on the art state of general scheduling algorithms, we present the meta-heuristic, we have decided to apply for a given example of HFMS. That was the study of Simulated Annealing Algorithm SA. The HFMS model based on hierarchical Petri nets, was used to represent static … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2007 · 7,164 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLearning Software Component Model for Online TutoringM. Balakrishnan, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Web services are interface elements which allow applications to render functional services to requesting clients using open standard protocols. A lecture method combines both social association and urban processing as course design and delivery is termed as Interface Learning. Many Interface learning services is presenting through online. To make an online tutoring scheme more effective, the previous study … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 9 Jun 2012 · 6,771 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNormalized Relational Storage for Extensible Markup Language (XML) SchemaKamsuriah Ahmad, Reduan SamadProblem statement: The use of XML as the common formats for representing, exchanging, storing, integrating and accessing data posses many new challenges to database systems. Most of application data are stored in relational databases due to its popularity and rich development experiences over it. Therefore, how to provide a proper mapping approach from XML model to relational model become the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 24 Aug 2011 · 6,838 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of Clustering Protocols in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksSharmila J. Francis, Elijah B. RajsinghNetwork clustering is an important technique widely used in efficient MANETs network management, hierarchical routing protocol design, network modeling, Quality of Service, etc. Recently many researchers are focusing on clustering which is one of the fundamental problems in mobile ad hoc networks. This article presents the descriptions of recently proposed clustering algorithms and is categorized into different approaches that support … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 6,947 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMobile Computing Changing the Traditional Ways of Organizing the Construction CompanyNataša Šuman, Mirko PšunderThe focus of this paper is to represent some important mobile computing potential which help tackle project collaboration and information dissemination problems. Especially in the construction industry where workers have no steady working places mobile computing is shown as a chance for optimising the traditional ways of organizing Construction Company. Special attention is given to the description of changing the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2008 · 7,025 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCommunication Architecture Synthesis for Multi-bus SoCAbdelkrim Zitouni, Sami Badrouchi, Rached TourkiIn the systems on chip (SoC) design, the synthesis of communication architecture constitutes the bottleneck which can affect the performances of the system. Various schemes and protocols can be necessary, just as various topologies of interconnection. To reduce the complexity of the communications refinement, we present in this study a model and a synthesis approach for multi-bus communication architecture containing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2006 · 6,780 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSocialMANET: A Publish/Subscribe Events Dissemination Protocol for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworksMaurice Tchoupé Tchendji, Martin Xavier Tchembé, Innocent Tialo NecheuThe popularization of mobile equipment capable of communicating autonomously nowadays offers the possibility of thinking more seriously about a mode of communication in which stakeholders communicate in an ad-hoc manner and use mobility to convey information. However, due to their mobile nature, such equipments are limited by their low energy and storage capacity. Algorithms designed for them must therefore be … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 9 · 3 Sep 2019 · 7,681 accessesView PDFCite
