Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWeb-Enabled Framework for Real-Time Scheduler Simulator: A Teaching ToolC. Yaashuwanth, R. RameshProblem statement: A Real-Time System (RTS) is one which controls an environment by receiving data, processing it, and returning the results quickly enough to affect the functioning of the environment at that time. The main objective of this research was to develop an architectural model for the simulation of real time tasks to implement in distributed environment through web, and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2010 · 7,273 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWhole Body Vibration Exposure to Train PassengerA. R. Ismail, M. Z. Nuawi, C. W. How et al.Problem statement: Train is one of the important and famous public transportations in the whole world. High magnitude of whole-body vibration formed by the train may cause diseases and health problems to the human especially a low back pain. This study will give an account of daily exposure to vibration A(8) and Vibration Dose Value (VDV) exposed to the passengers … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2010 · 7,686 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Free Educational Java Framework for Graph AlgorithmsGianluca Costa, Claudia D’Ambrosio, Silvano MartelloProblem statement: In the teaching of graph theory algorithms it is important that students can experiment them on numerical instances in order to fully understand their logical meaning and to learn how they can be implemented. Approach: We developed an open source Java framework to help students in their approach to the study of graph algorithms. The framework was implemented … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2010 · 7,397 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDoes the Size of Personalized Menus Affect User Performance?Khalid Al-Omar, Dimitrios I. RigasProblem statement: To date, researchers have personalized graphical user interfaces for individual users to reduce visual search time. Little research, however, has been directed at understanding the factors which cause approaches to personalization to have positive effects at one time and negative ones at others. Approach: The study reported here investigated empirically the effects of content size on 5 different … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 6,596 accessesView PDFCite
