Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign and Implementation of an Optimal Fuzzy Logic Controller Using Genetic AlgorithmS. Khan, S. F. Abdulazeez, L. W. Adetunji et al.All control systems suffer from problems related to undesirable overshoot, longer settling times and vibrations while going form one state to another state. Most of relevant techniques had been in the form of suggesting modification and improvement in the instrumentation or interfacing part of the control system and the results reported, remain suffering from shortcomings related to hardware parameter dependence … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2008 · 8,049 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordOptimal Control Algorithms for Second Order SystemsDanilo Pelusi, Raffaele MascellaProportional Integral Derivative (PID) controllers are widely used in industrial processes for their simplicity and robustness. The main application problems are the tuning of PID parameters to obtain good settling time, rise time and overshoot. The challenge is to improve the timing parameters to achieve optimal control performances. Remarkable findings are obtained through the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques as … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 2 Apr 2013 · 7,029 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordOptimum Setting of Controller Using Soft Computing Techniques for a Chemical SystemG. Glandevadhas, S. Pushpakumar, S.V. Muruga PrasadProblem statement: The aim of this study is to present an intelligent tuning technique for PID controller that are simple and still result in good closed loop behavior. The idea is to start with a tuned conventional PID controller, replace it with an equivalent intelligent controllers like Fuzzy, ANN, Genetic and PSO techniques implies fine tuned nonlinear PID controller which … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 6 Oct 2011 · 7,496 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDevelopment of Software Reliability Growth Models for Industrial Applications Using Fuzzy LogicSultan AljahdaliProblem statement: The utilization of Software Reliability Growth Models (SRGM) plays a major role in monitoring progress, accurately predicting the number of faults in the software during both development and testing processes; define the release date of a software product, helps in allocating resources and estimating the cost for software maintenance. This leads to achieving the required reliability level of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 9 Aug 2011 · 7,007 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMulti-Product Multi-Constraint Inventory Control Systems with Stochastic Replenishment and Discount under Fuzzy Purchasing Price and Holding CostsAta Allah Taleizadeh, Seyed Taghi Akhavan Niaki, Mir-Bahador AryanezhadWhile in multi-periodic inventory control problems the usual assumption are that the orders are placed at the beginning of each period (periodic review) or depending on the inventory level they can happen at any time (continuous review), in this research, we relax these assumptions and assume that the periods between two replenishments of the products are independent and identically distributed … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2009 · 8,085 accessesView PDF Cite
