Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFusion of Features and Extreme Learning Machine for Facial Expression RecognitionBayezid Islam, Arfat HossainHuman emotion is highly correlated to facial expressions. Due to its growing demand in different sectors, an emotion recognition method is proposed through recognizing facial expressions. The input image is preprocessed and then the resulting image is segmented into four facial expression regions following the newly proposed segmentation method. Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) and Local Binary Patterns (LBP) are … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 12 · 28 Dec 2019 · 7,404 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of LDA, AdaBoost and Ensemble Bag Classifiers for Automatically Recognizing Nine Common Facial ExpressionsM.D. Sumithra, M. Abdul RahimanFacial expression recognition holds a prominent role in today’s digital world with more Human –Computer Interaction happening in day to day life. Successful identification of facial expressions needs extraction of descriptive attributes from the active facial patches and accurate classification. This paper is presented with the comparison of three multi class classifiers namely Linear Discriminant Analysis, AdaBoost and Ensemble bag. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 9 · 27 Sep 2018 · 7,787 accessesView PDF Cite

The E-learning systems and platforms have evolved over the years, but E-learning methodologies are still lagging in matching the benefits of teacher-student interaction in a classroom. The absence of human supervision is always a concern as a student cannot be monitored … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 12 Dec 2016 · 7,473 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Role of Perspective-Taking on Ability to Recognize FearAndrea Trubanova, Inyoung Kim, Marika C. Coffman et al.Impairment in the ability to detect certain emotions, such as fear, is linked to multiple disorders and follows a pattern of inter-individual variability and intra-individual stability over time. Deficits in fear recognition are often related to social and interpersonal difficulties but the mechanisms by which this processing deficit might occur are not well understood. One potential mechanism through which impaired … …Current Research in Psychology, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 12 Jan 2016 · 8,672 accessesView PDF Cite
