Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractReal-Time Fuzzy Logic Control of Two-Link Flexible ManipulatorsJimoh Olarewaju Pedro, Juan-Paul HynekThis study investigates the development of a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) for tracking a sinusoidal wave trajectory and suppressing the vibration of a Two Link Flexible Manipulator (TLFM). The TLFM was modeled using Lagrange's formalism and the Assumed Mode Method (AMM). A three-part apparatus consisting of a TLFM mathematical model, a real-world TLFM, and control software was designed and implemented. … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 11 May 2023 · 6,169 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign of Synthetic Optimizing Neuro Fuzzy Temperature Controller for Dual Screw Profile Plastic Extruder Using LabviewRavi Samikannu, Balakrishnan Anantharaman PoonamallieProblem statement: The temperature control in plastic extrusion machine is an important factor to produce high quality plastic products. The first order temperature control system in plastic extrusion comprises of coupling effects, long delay time and large time constants. Controlling temperature is very difficult as the process is multistage process and the system coupled with each other. In order to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,112 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign and Implementation of an Optimal Fuzzy Logic Controller Using Genetic AlgorithmS. Khan, S. F. Abdulazeez, L. W. Adetunji et al.All control systems suffer from problems related to undesirable overshoot, longer settling times and vibrations while going form one state to another state. Most of relevant techniques had been in the form of suggesting modification and improvement in the instrumentation or interfacing part of the control system and the results reported, remain suffering from shortcomings related to hardware parameter dependence … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2008 · 8,049 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Advantages of PID Fuzzy Controllers Over The Conventional TypesAbdullah I. Al-Odienat, Ayman A. Al-LawamaFuzzy logic controllers (FLC's) have the following advantages over the conventional controllers: they are cheaper to develop, they cover a wider range of operating conditions, and they are more readily customizable in natural language terms. A self-organizing fuzzy controller can automatically refine an initial approximate set of fuzzy rules. Application of PI-type fuzzy controller increases the quality factor. In this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2008 · 18,036 accessesView PDF Cite
