Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImprovement Mechanisms of Wheat Consultant Engineers (WCEs) Project in IranAli Asadi, Morteza Akbari, Hossain Shabanali Fami, Amir AlambaigiThis article describes improvement mechanisms of Wheat Consultant Engineers (WCEs) project or Wheat Advisory Services (WAS) In Iran. A survey study was applied as a methodology of research work. Data were collected using structured questionnaires that addressed to evaluating extension expert and WCEs responses regarding to WCEs project improvement mechanisms. The result shown that the project was faced with many … …American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2008 · 7,555 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe use of Random Forest Classification and K-means Clustering Algorithm for Detecting Time Stamped Signatures in the Active NetworksKamalanaban Ethala, R. Shesadri, N. G. RenganathanIn day to day information security infrastructure, intrusion detection is indispensible. Signature based intrusion detection system mechanisms are often available in detecting many types of attacks. But this mechanism alone is not sufficient in many cases. Another intrusion detection method viz K-means is employed for clustering and classifying the unlabelled data. IDS is a special embedded device or relied software … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 18 Jun 2013 · 7,496 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHuman-Robot Interface over the Web Based Intelligent SystemDesa Hazry, Masanori Sugisaka, Taki YujiThis research extends the capability for the new technology platform by Remote Data Inspection System (RDIS) server from Furukawa Co., Ltd. enabling the integration of standard Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) programming and RDIS tag programming to create a user-friendly “point-and-click” web-based control mechanism. The integration allows the users to send commands to mobile robot over the Internet. Web-based control enables … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,955 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordProsthetic Knee Mechanism Using a Double Locking System as a Safety MeasureEicarl Saynes Vazquez, Esther Lugo GonzálezThe design of a four-link knee prosthesis mechanism with two locking systems activated during the flexion/extension phase is presented. The first is geometric, totally mechanical and activated by the user's weight. The second is variable and is activated automatically when walking on irregular or special surfaces is required. The links' dimensions were selected using the differential evolutionary optimization algorithm to … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 12 Feb 2024 · 5,701 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordLife Extension by Anti-Aging Drugs: Hormetic Explanation?A.M. VaisermanA number of chemicals including antioxidants, vitamins and hormones are widely advertised as anti-aging drugs (geroprotectors). It is usually believed that life-extending capacity of geroprotectors may be attributed to their specific anti-aging mechanisms, even without solid scientific evidence. The analysis of the survival data gathered by both anti-aging and hormetic interventions demonstrates that many essential similarities exist between them. The … …American Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2008 · 8,162 accessesView PDF Cite
