Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImplementation of IP Video Streaming Software to Identify Availability and AudienceVitor Chaves de Oliveira, Sérgio Bimbi Junior, Andreiwid Sheffer Corrêa et al.The perpetual rise of the video on demand is currently one of the leading challenges the telecommunications industry faces. It per passes the eternal comparison with a service that continuously set’s the bar at a highly elevated consumer quality. And the user, advertiser and all stakeholders involved not only are used to it, but demand equal and/or similar value, i.e., … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 7 · 11 Jun 2018 · 8,595 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIMPLEMENTATION OF CENTRAL QUEUE BASED REALTIME SCHEDULER FOR MULTIPLE SOURCE DATA STREAMINGV. Kaviha, V. Kannan, S. RaviReal-time data packet sources are required to remain robust against different security threats. This study proposes a real-time secure scheduling strategy for data transmission to enhance the communication throughput and reduce the overheads. The proposed system combines real-time scheduling with security service enhancement, error detection and realtime scheduler based on EDF algorithm using uc/os-II real time operating system, implemented on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 22 Apr 2014 · 6,381 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAlternative Monitoring Approach for IPTVAngel Ignatov, Hristo Toshkov Hristov, Jan Latal et al.IPTV emerged in the late 1990s as a solution for delivering Video on Demand (VoD) and live television over managed networks. Its widespread adoption accelerated after the expansion of broadband internet and the introduction of web technologies such as HTML5 and adaptive streaming protocols (MPEG-DASH and HLS), which enabled television content to be streamed directly through web browsers. Across Europe, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 11 · 8 Oct 2026 · 430 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAdaptive Synthetic Oversampling Algorithm for Handling Class Imbalance in Multi-Class Data Stream ClassificationPriya S., Annie UthraConcept drift and class imbalanced data are major challenging processes involved in modern streaming data classification. Particularly, when integrated with difficult factors like the existence of noise, overlapping class distribution, concept drift, and data imbalance can considerably affect the classifier results. In addition, various challenges affect the performance of the existing oversampling schemes such as SMOTE and its derivatives. Regardless … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 7 · 26 Jul 2022 · 5,809 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMobility Management Technique for Real Time Traffic in 802.11 NetworksGurpal Singh, Ajay Pal Singh Atwal, B.S. SohisA practical mobility management technique aimed at reducing handoff latency to less than 10ms has been proposed and implemented in this paper. Handoff latency has been reduced by decoupling scanning from handoff execution process. This scheme has been implemented in the form of client side application with modifications to open source Madwifi new generation driver. Performance of this mobility management … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2007 · 6,779 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDynamic Reconfiguration of IP Domain Middleware Stacks to Support Multicast Multimedia Distribution in a Heterogeneous EnvironmentKevin Curran, Gerard ParrSeamless connectivity to multiple wireless networks independently of a fixed point is becoming increasingly important for mobile devices however wireless networks differ in bandwidth, size and access costs each requiring protocol functions to enable devices to communicate efficiently. In addition, due to the divergence of users and applications, traditional stacks are frequently enriched with additional functionality such as transport protocol … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2005 · 6,781 accessesView PDFCite
