Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordCOGNITIVE AGENTS BASED SECURITY SCHEME TO HANDLE ROUTING LOOPS IN WIRELESS NETWORKSR. Kumar, G. KousalyaRouters in wireless networks are often prone to variety of attacks like a man in the middle, distributed denial of service, smurf, ping of death, routing loops, counting to infinity. Among all these attacks routing loop is the most common one and it have a harmful effect on network performance. In this study, we have proposed a novel cognitive agents … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 19 Apr 2014 · 6,721 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordSpeech Enhancement Algorithm Using Sub band Two Step Decision Directed Approach with Adaptive Weighting factor and Noise Masking ThresholdDeepa Dhanaskodi, Shanmugam ArumugamProblem statement: Speech Enhancement plays an important role in any of the speech processing systems like speech recognition, mobile communication, hearing aid. Approach: In this work, human perceptual auditory masking effect is incorporated into the single channel speech enhancement algorithm. The algorithm is based on a criterion by which the audible noise may be masked rather than being attenuated and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 7,130 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Improved Resource Reservation ProtocolDesire Oulai, Steven Chamberland, Samuel PierreThe classical resource reservation protocol (RSVP) is a flow-based signaling protocol used for reserving resources in the network for a given session. RSVP maintains state information for each reservation at every router along the path. Even though this protocol is very popular, he has some weaknesses. Indeed, RSVP does not include a bidirectional reservation process and it requires refresh messages … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2007 · 6,491 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEVALUATION OF HIDDEN MARKOV MODEL BASED ADAPTIVE PROVISIONING OF OPTICAL BURST SWITCHING NETWORKS AMENABLE FOR UPGRADATION TO GREEN FLEXIGRID NETWORKSP. G.V. Ramesh, Prita NairCatering to the evolving bandwidth-on-demand applications requires flexible provisioning architectures that ensure fairness to both high end and low end users of internet. Dynamic classification of network paths into long and short, based on traffic dependent connection holding times and a wavelength allocation from different subsets for these categories is a necessity for implementing energy saving hybrid switching, loss recovery … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 16 Jan 2014 · 6,522 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEffect of Edible Coatings, Storage Time and Maturity Stage on Overall Quality of Tomato FruitsJorge Esteban de Jesús Dávila-Aviña, José Villa-Rodríguez, Reynaldo Cruz-Valenzuela et al.Problem statement: Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) is one of the most widely consumed fresh vegetables in the world; however, its highly perishable nature limits its postharvest life. Major losses in tomato quality and quantity occur between harvest and consumption. Therefore, the application of new technologies to extend the postharvest life of this commodity is needed. The use of edible coatings … …American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 14 Mar 2011 · 11,290 accessesView PDF Cite
