Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordRRDVCR: Real-Time Reliable Data Delivery Based on Virtual Coordinating Routing for Wireless Sensor NetworksVenkatesh, Chanchal Singh Sengar, Kuppanna Rajuk Venugopal et al.Real-time industrial application requires a routing protocol that guarantees data delivery with reliable, efficient and low end-to-end delay. Existing Two-Hop Velocity based Routing (THVR) protocol relates two-hop velocity to end-to-end delay to select the next forwarding node, that has the overhead of exchanging control packets and depleting the available energy in nodes. We propose a Real-Time Reliable Data delivery based … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 1 · 3 Jan 2018 · 8,232 accessesView PDFCite
Letters to the EditorOpen accessAll words, across the recordRetrospective Observational Study of the Environmental Impact in SARS-CoV-2 Virus Transmission based on Exclusion CriteriaKatia Margiotti, Marco Fabiani, Marina Cupellaro et al.In Italy, as today October 26 the virus is circulating throughout the country. By a new decree of the Ministry of Health of October 25, 2020, authorities in Italy have suspended most of the recreational activities, like, cinemas, theatres, gyms and restaurants. Aim of this observational study was to evaluate environmental risk related to SARS-CoV-2 infection. Information questionnaire concerning the … …American Journal of Infectious Diseases, Vol. 17, Issue 1 · 26 Jan 2021 · 7,071 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMinimizing Transmission Time under Required System Capacity Constraint in Stochastic-Flow NetworksMoatamad Refaat HassanIn the case of an existing limited capacity of the system called required system capacity, in this study a new method is presented to determine the disjoint paths to send data from the source to the sink. System reliability is evaluated as the probability that a specified amount of data can be transmitted from a source to a sink through … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 5 May 2018 · 7,672 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMultiple-Input Multiple-Output Transmission Over a Multipath Faded ChannelsI.A.Z. QatawnehThe use of multiple antennas at the transmitter as well as at the receiver can greatly improve the capacity of a wireless link when operating in a rich scattering environment. In such an arrangement all transmitting antennas radiate in the same frequency band so the overall spectral efficiency becomes very high. Such a multiple antenna scheme, popularly known as Multiple … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 11 Mar 2013 · 6,417 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA REVIEW: INDUSTRIAL CONTROL SYSTEM (ICS) AND THEIR SECUITY ISSUESA. Shahzad, S. Musa, A. Aborujilah, M. IrfanIndustrial Control System (ICS) has been designed for critical infrastructure sectors and 90% of these systems are property/owaned and operated by private organizations. Industrial Control System (ICS) were designed to fulfill the basic requirements included system performance and reliability and other basic needs, related with real time transmission, without interlinking with networks (public/private) or/and internet connectivity. In this research, detail … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 8 · 24 Jun 2014 · 6,825 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPRICE TRANSMISSION IN SELECTED MALAYSIAN FRUITS MARKETSFatimah Mohamed Arshad, Amna Awad Abdel HameedThe market for fresh produce such as fruits in Malaysia is alleged to be inefficient due to poor flow of information between market levels and uncompetitive market particularly at the wholesale and retail levels. Due to these structural problems, pricing efficiency is questionable, in that they are not integrated. This study intends to examine the cointegration and causality relationships between … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 28 Dec 2013 · 7,831 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA LEADER BASED MONITORING APPROACH FOR SINKHOLE ATTACK IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKD. Udaya Suriya Rajkumar, Rajamani VayanaperumalSecurity is one of an important factor to be considered seriously in wireless sensor networks. In WSN, in many ways intrusion may occur, in the past decades there is no perfect IDS, without any wasting of resources like time, energy, cost and number of physical items. The main objective is to ensure the security and improve the quality of network … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,911 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordTRANSMISSION CONTROL PROTOCOL PERFORMANCE COMPARISON USING PIGGYBACK SCHEME IN WLANSAli Ahmad Milad, Zul Azri Bin Muhamad Noh, Abdul Samad Shibghatullah et al.The main problem at wireless networks is the overhead at MAC layer; when the data physical rate is increasing it causes increasing the overhead and decreasing at the MAC efficiency. In this study we study the performance comparison of TCP protocol in WLANs with and without using piggyback. The study of results concerning of implemented both mechanisms in NS2 simulator … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 2 Jul 2013 · 7,360 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordApplication of Newton Raphson Algorithm for Optimizing Transmission Control Protocol PerformanceJ. Viji Priya, S. SuppiahWireless networks are growing rapidly. TCP is the most widely-used protocol on Internet and so optimizing TCP performance is very important for fast efficient data transfer. The different existing TCP variants and solutions they have not been analyzed together to identify the bottlenecks in wireless networks. TCP has a major problem in its congestion control algorithm which does not allow … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 20 May 2013 · 6,302 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordThe Effect of the Harmonics, the Fault Location and the Fault Resistance on the Performance of the Impedance-Type Distance RelayA. S. Khraiwish, M. Alshamasin, R. Kassasbeh et al.One of today's trends is continuously increasing the number and the power ratings of the non-linear loads connected to the electric power systems. These non-linear loads, such as power-electronic converters, are the main source of the harmonics that affect the performance of the impedance-type distance relays. It was found that, in the presence of harmonics, undesired operation of such type … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2009 · 7,567 accessesView PDFCite
