Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA New Approach for Sub-Channels Assignment in Downlink Fourth Generation Mobile SystemsFakhreddine Khelifa, Abdelaziz SametProblem statement: We proposed a new heuristic method for subchannels allocation problem in the context. Approach: In this system, OFDM transmission method has been used, in order to reduce the effect of multipath fading, OFDMA to achieve multiple access schemes and flexibility in resource allocation. Results: An adaptive method for subchannels allocation is necessary in order to exploit the multiuser … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 9 · 23 Jul 2011 · 6,588 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMulti-Product Multi-Constraint Inventory Control Systems with Stochastic Replenishment and Discount under Fuzzy Purchasing Price and Holding CostsAta Allah Taleizadeh, Seyed Taghi Akhavan Niaki, Mir-Bahador AryanezhadWhile in multi-periodic inventory control problems the usual assumption are that the orders are placed at the beginning of each period (periodic review) or depending on the inventory level they can happen at any time (continuous review), in this research, we relax these assumptions and assume that the periods between two replenishments of the products are independent and identically distributed … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2009 · 8,085 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Authoring Tool for As-in-Class E-lectures in E-learning SystemsNael HirzallahThis study lists and discusses the basic features that any E-Learning system should consider. It also proposes an authoring algorithm, namely Slide Generating Algorithm that uses the Authoring-on-the-Fly approach to create electronic course content from real lectures. A tool using the proposed algorithm was implemented packaging the outcome in a SMIL format including audio, video, and slides considering lecturer notes, … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 7,359 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDesign of a Merged DSP Microcontroller for Embedded Systems using Discrete Orthogonal TransformA. K. Rath, P. K. MeherIn this paper we have proposed the design of a DSP microcontroller where the processor load is significantly reduced by relegating the math-intensive DSP algorithm to dedicated transform computing modules. It is shown that the use of such transform modules will facilitate scalability, reusability and flexibility for implementation of wide varieties of DSP functionalities. Moreover, it would be possible to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,918 accessesView PDFCite
