Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Channel Adaptive Energy Efficient and Fair Scheduling Media Access Control Protocol for Mobile AdHoc NetworksP. Priakanth, P. ThangarajProblem statement: A major drawback in the existing protocols in dealing with energy management issues is that the time varying nature of the wireless channels among the ad hoc nodes is ignored. Approach: This study proposed a channel adaptive energy efficient Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol, for efficient packets scheduling and queuing in an ad hoc network, with time varying … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2009 · 7,556 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Comparative Study between Various Protocols of MANET NetworksMohammed F. Al-Hunaity, Salam A. Najim, Ibrahiem M. El-EmaryMulticast Ad-Hoc on-Demand Distance Vector (MAODV) protocol keeps sending control packets within static periods whether there was sending of data packets or not, and it was not concerned with the amount of these data packets. Based on this, many people found out that there are a high number of control packets in the short-lived connection. The main idea of this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,957 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordTCP Optimal Performance in Wireless Networks ApplicationsEmad Qaddoura, Abdelghani Daraiseh, Wesam Al Mobaideen et al.Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of dynamic topology as nodes in the network are mobile, and connected via wireless links. The nodes are grouped in clusters for the purpose of routing. Nodes within the cluster communicate directly. However, nodes communicate outside the cluster through a centralized node that is called a clusterhead. An elected clusterhead is assigned for communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 6,417 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordGROUP MANAGEMENT IN MOBILE ADHOC NETWORKSK. Senthil Kumar, S. Sasi Kumar, C. SugapriyaIn this study, we proposed an algorithm for Cluster Based Zone Allocation method (CBZA) for energy conservation and packet dropping in mobile ad hoc network. MANET is a self-organized, temporarily dynamic network and their nodes are mobile without using any infrastructure. However, secure communication occurs between group nodes based on cluster method. In multicast routing, group information is shared by … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 7 · 22 Apr 2014 · 6,321 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Dynamic Approach for Rate Adaptation in Mobile Adhoc NetworksPalaniammal Senniappan, Suganya SubramaniamA Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of mobile nodes with no fixed infrastructure. The absence of central authorization facility in dynamic and distributed environment affects the optimal utilization of resources like, throughput, power and bandwidth. Rate adaptation is the key technique to optimize the resource throughput. Some recently proposed rate adaptations use Request to Send/Clear to Send … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 8 Jun 2013 · 6,673 accessesView PDF Cite
