Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordConversion of a Conventional Vehicle into a Battery-Super Capacitor Hybrid VehicleAnuradha Herath, Pasan Gunawardena, Vimukthi Randeny et al.The use of a super capacitor pack parallel with a battery pack in electric vehicles can have effects on the battery life as well as on the driving range of the vehicle. In this research a conventional IC engine vehicle was converted into a motor driven electric vehicle. The converted vehicle was tested on a drive cycle defined to match … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 11 Oct 2018 · 7,709 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordSpeed Control of Switched Reluctance Motor Using New Hybrid Particle Swarm OptimizationT. V. Mahendiran, K. Thanushkodi, P. ThangamProblem statement: The main objective of this research is to obtain the speed control of switched reluctance motor with minimum settling time and without overshoot. Approach: A new algorithm has been developed with the combination of differential evolution and particle swarm optimization and applied for speed control of switched reluctance motor under sudden change in speed. Also speed control of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 10 Aug 2012 · 7,440 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordFeasibility of Hybrid Neuro-Fuzzy (ANFIS) Machine Learning Model with Classical Multi-Linear Regression (MLR) For the Simulation of Solar Radiation: A Case Study Abuja, NigeriaNajashi B. Gafai, Asia'u Talatu BelgoreThe extremely variable nature of solar radiation makes it difficult for solar power plants to keep up with predicted power output and demand curves. As a result, solar radiation simulation is crucial to the efficient design, administration, and operation of any solar power plant. With only partially satisfactory results, empirical models have been routinely employed in Nigeria to predict solar … …Energy Research Journal, Vol. 13, Issue 1 · 21 Jul 2022 · 10,037 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordParticle Swarm and Neural Network Approach for Fault Clearing of Multilevel InvertersR. M.S. Parvathi, M. SivakumarThis study presents a machine learning technique for fault diagnostics in induction motor drives. A normal model and an extensive range of faulted models for the inverter-motor combination were developed and implemented using a generic commercial simulation tool to generate voltages and current signals at a broad range of operating points selected by a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based machine … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 8 Jun 2013 · 6,495 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Variable Neighborhood Search Algorithm for Assigning Cells to Switches in Wireless NetworksMatthieu Andr, Gilles Pesant, Samuel PierreThe problem of assigning cells to switches in wireless networks consists of minimizing the total operating cost, that is, the cost of linking cells to switches and the cost of handover from one cell to another, by taking into account factors such as network topology, switch capacity and traffic load in the entire network. Such a problem is well known … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,753 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordReal Time Object Tracking and Protection: Hybrid Logistics Architecture in Ubiquitous Environments (HLAiUE)Abdul Jawwad Patel, Abeer Alsadoon, P.W.C. Prasad, A. ElchouemiRealtime object security and vehicle tracking have not been successfully implemented in commercial vehicles due to limitations in processing large amount of data and hardware capabilities. This paper aimed to improve the object security, processing power and data storage in a distributed environment. The proposed system (HLAiUE) consists of a three-layer architecture, first layer is used to collect data, second … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 8 · 17 Oct 2018 · 7,523 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordOn The Integration of Decision Diagrams in High Order Logic Based Theorem Provers: a SurveySa'ed Abed, Otmane Ait Mohamed, Ghiath Al SammaneThis survey discuss approaches that integrate Decision Diagrams inside High Order Logic based Theorem provers. The approaches can be divided in two kinds, one is based on building a translation between model checker and theorem prover, the second is based on embedding the model checker algorithms inside the theorem prover. A comparison between both is discussed in detail. The paper … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2007 · 6,986 accessesView PDF Cite
