Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordTeachers View on Social and Emotional Aspect of Pedagogical CompetenceInga Belousa, Skaidrite UzulinaProblem statement: Bologna process challenges European higher education area by comparability and compatibility of several issues including educators’ professional competence. However, through their educational philosophy and activity educators have discovered and shaped their own sense and meaning of pedagogical competence. During the time when teacher professional standard has been reexamined nationally, teachers’ voice in Latvia is still poorly considered. Therefore, … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 18 Feb 2012 · 8,513 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPalmitate-Induced Translocation of Caveolin-3 and Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase in CardiomyocytesCatherine J. Knowles, Megan Dionne, Martina Cebova, Ilka M. PinzProblem statement: Palmitate is a known cardiac lipotoxin that blunts cardiomyocyte contractile function and induces apoptosis, likely via accumulation of the lipotoxic ceramide. Ceramide is a sphingolipid and localizes to caveolae, which are lined in the inner membrane leaflet by caveolin proteins. In this study, we investigated the effects of palmitate on caveolin proteins and on endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase … …OnLine Journal of Biological Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 27 Aug 2011 · 7,894 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAuthenticated Broadcast in Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks using Chinese Remainder Theorem AlgorithmKalyani Palanisamy, ChellappanProblem statement: The security in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is a critical issue due to the inherent limitations of computational capacity, storage capacity and power usage. Key management only makes sure the communicating nodes possess the necessary keys, at the same time protecting the confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of the communicated data. Approach: Proposed a RSA-CRT methodology for authenticated broadcast … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,413 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA New Scalable and Reliable Cost Effective Key Agreement Protocol for Secure Group CommunicationS. Jabeen Begum, Dr. T. PurusothamanProblem statement: In a heterogeneous environment, for a secure multicast communication, the group members have to share a secret key which is used to encrypt/decrypt the secret messages among the members. The Secure Group Communication of large scale multicast group in a dynamic environment is more complex than securing one-to-one communication due to the inherent scalability issue of group key … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2011 · 6,960 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDynamic Reconfiguration of IP Domain Middleware Stacks to Support Multicast Multimedia Distribution in a Heterogeneous EnvironmentKevin Curran, Gerard ParrSeamless connectivity to multiple wireless networks independently of a fixed point is becoming increasingly important for mobile devices however wireless networks differ in bandwidth, size and access costs each requiring protocol functions to enable devices to communicate efficiently. In addition, due to the divergence of users and applications, traditional stacks are frequently enriched with additional functionality such as transport protocol … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2005 · 6,781 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordUnderwater Fused Image Classification Using Deep Learning Based Resnet and Hybrid PSO + HHO ModelDevika Sarath, M. SucharithaIn image fusion, multiple images are combined into one with minimal distortion and data loss. Image fusion forms a highly configured image with good results. The image fusion technique is employed in various domains, including remote sensing, robotics, medical applications, and underwater image processing. The focus of this study is on a unique underwater image fusion approach that allows for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 4 · 24 Mar 2023 · 5,844 accessesView PDF Cite
