Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Comparative Analysis of Network Management Protocols in IoT ApplicationsLevi Costa Mota, Edward David Moreno, Admilson Lima Ribeiro, Ricardo J.P.B. SalgueiroThe complexity and growth of new smart objects networks are generating a new demand for the maintenance of these devices, with the need to remotely monitor and control these devices without consuming significant resources. Analyzing the memory and electric power consumption of the protocols used in the management of these networks is a way to highlight the best protocol alternatives … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 9 · 27 Sep 2018 · 7,821 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA REVIEW ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDONESIAN SIGN LANGUAGE RECOGNITION SYSTEMSutarman, Mazlina Abdul Majid, Jasni Mohamad ZainSign language is mainly employed by hearing-impaired people to communicate with each other. However, communication with normal people is a major handicap for them since normal people do not understand their sign language. Sign language recognition is needed for realizing a human oriented interactive system that can perform an interaction like normal communication. Sign language recognition basically uses two approaches: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 27 Sep 2013 · 8,691 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractBuffer Pocketing and Pre-Checking on Buffer UtilizationK. Saravanan, R. M. SureshProblem statement: In this study, the paper proposes the development of Effective Buffer Utilization on Adaptive Router with Buffer Pocketing and Pre-Buffer Checking Technique. Network-on-Chip could be prepared more capable by tricky faster routers. By using improved buffers, superior number of ports and channels, adaptive routing, all of which acquire key of overheads in hardware costs. Approach: This technique will … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 23 Apr 2012 · 6,908 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Density Based Dynamic Data Clustering Algorithm based on Incremental DatasetS. Angel Latha Mary, K.R. Shankar KumarProblem statement: Clustering and visualizing high-dimensional dynamic data is a challenging problem. Most of the existing clustering algorithms are based on the static statistical relationship among data. Dynamic clustering is a mechanism to adopt and discover clusters in real time environments. There are many applications such as incremental data mining in data warehousing applications, sensor network, which relies on dynamic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 20 Feb 2012 · 7,465 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTowards an Integrated Intrusion Detection Monitoring in High Speed NetworksHassen SallayProblem statement: Security Management has become a critical aspect for large scale distributed systems. Particularly, recent Distributed Intrusion Detection Systems (DIDS) schemes in High Speed Networks (HSN) have raised new serious management problems and challenges. Increasing the effectiveness of IDS monitoring is primordial to satisfy the restrictive constraints in such large multi-domains environment for narrow context of HSN. Approach: We … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 30 Jun 2011 · 6,560 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRandomness Analysis on Lightweight Block Cipher, PRESENTIsma Norshahila Binti Mohammad Shah, Eddie Shahril Bin IsmailLightweight cryptography is an area of current research conducted by academicians and cryptographic experts to ensure the security of data in limited-resource devices such as RFID tags, medical and health care devices and sensor networks. One of the lightweight algorithms built is the PRESENT algorithm. To this day, PRESENT has been a reference for lightweight block cipher algorithms and is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 11 · 26 Nov 2020 · 6,889 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractData Streams Curation for Better Machine Learning Functionality and Result to Serve IoT and other Applications: A SurveyHaya Salah, Islam Al-Omari, Jaber Alwidian et al.Data Curation on data streams is effective in operating and reducing costs of BIG DATA analytic. Basically, analytic preparation requires data curation of available heterogeneous data sets available in big data clusters and such analytic process becomes harder when it comes to the concept of conducting the curation process on Data-on-Motion, in order to come at actionable insights and valuable … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 10 · 1 Nov 2019 · 8,722 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImage Compression Algorithms Using Intensity Based Adaptive Quantization CodingSaad Al-Azawi, Said Boussakta, Alex YakovlevProblem statement: Low complexity image compression algorithms are necessary for modern portable devices such as mobile phones, wireless sensor networks and high constraint power consumption devices. In such applications low bit rate along with an acceptable image quality are an essential requirements. Approach: This study proposes low and moderate complexity algorithms for colour image compression. Two algorithms will be presented; … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 18 Jan 2012 · 8,496 accessesView PDFCite
