Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDeep Regularization Mechanism for Combating Class Imbalance Problem in Intrusion Detection System for Defending DDoS Attack in SDNNarender M, Yuvaraju B NIntegration of deep learning into Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) for Software Defined Networking (SDN) is an emerging field of research. Most of the datasets used to build IDS are highly imbalanced, especially in the case of DDoS attacks, which account for a larger percentage of malicious samples than normal traffic. As a result of a class imbalance, the classification result … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 3 · 24 Feb 2023 · 5,659 accessesView PDFCite

Review ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordToward an Online DoS/DDoS Classification: An Empirical Study for Network Intrusion Detection SystemsTran Hoang Hai, Nguyen Trong Khiem, Nguyen Huu PhucIn recent years, Distributed Denial of Services (DDoS) attacks have caused significant losses to industry and government due to an increasing number of devices connected to the Internet. These devices use services-over-Internet more frequently with services characterized and provided seamlessly by 5G, Cloud and Edge Computing. According to Cisco Annual Internet Report, the frequency of DoS/DDoS attacks has increased more … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 3 · 30 Mar 2021 · 6,972 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordInternal Combustion Engines ForcesRelly Victoria Virgil PetrescuThe paper presents an algorithm for determining the dynamic parameters of the internal combustion mechanism. Shows the force distribution (on the main engine mechanism) on internal combustion engines. Dynamically, tools can be distributed in the same way as forces. Practically, in dynamic regimes, speeds have the same synchronization with forces. The method applies separately for two distinct situations: When the … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 23 Jul 2019 · 6,267 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordThe Prevalence of Computer-Related Musculoskeletal Pain Among College Students-a Cross-Sectional StudyVenkatesan Rajagopal, Rosmah Mohd Rosli, Pederlia Rintai et al.Problem statement: In the recent years, there has been an increase in incidence of musculoskeletal complaints among college students. Potential risk factors for this might be increased use of computers. The purpose of this study was to examine among college students (a) the prevalence of musculoskeletal pain and (b) the association of musculoskeletal pain with computer use and physical activity … …Current Research in Medicine, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 23 Feb 2012 · 9,673 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordUsing Rule-Based Reasoning and Object-Oriented Methodologies to Diagnose DiabetesVithyatheri Govindan, Vimala Balakrishnan, Huck-Soo LooProblem statement: Diabetes mellitus or diabetes epidemic is one of the high prevalence diseases worldwide with increased number of disability, complications and death toll. An early diagnosis helps patients and medical practitioners to reduce the burden of diabetes. Approach: In this research, we propose a framework for a system using rule-based reasoning and object-oriented methodologies to diagnose both Type 1 … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 23 Jan 2012 · 8,607 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Simple Algorithm to Assess the Speed Stability of Induction GeneratorsAlexandre de Assis Mota, Lia Toledo Moreira MotaProblem statement: The speed stability if Induction Generators (IG) can be defined as its ability to remain connected to the electric network, operating at a mechanical speed close to the speed associated to the actual system frequency, after being subjected to a perturbation. This IG behavior is normally studied using dynamical methods that are determined through time-consuming simulations and are … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 13 Jun 2011 · 6,553 accessesView PDFCite
