Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDyslexia: An Altered Brain ArchitectureFelice Corona, Francesco Perrotta, Emilia Tartaglia Polcini, Carla CozzarelliProblem statement: Dyslexia is defined as a syndrome belonging to Specific Learning Disorders, DSA code F81.0. Its most visible manifestation is the difficulty that subjects have to correctly read out loud and quickly. These impediments are not due to lack of linguistic intellectual abilities, not education, or properly to external causes sensory deficits. Approach: The objective was oriented in the … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 5 Mar 2012 · 8,465 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMultimodal Biometrics using Feature FusionK. Krishneswari, S. ArumugamProblem statement: Biometric is a unique, measurable physiological or behavioral characteristic of a person and finds extensive applications in authentication and authorization. Fingerprint, palm print, iris, voice, are some of the most widely used biometric for personal identification. To reduce the error rates and enhance the usability of biometric system, multimodal biometric systems are used where more than one biometric … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 24 Jan 2012 · 7,375 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFramework for Managing the Very Large Scale Integration Design ProcessSabah Al-Fedaghi, Eman Al-DwaisanProblem statement: The VLSI design cycle was described in terms of successive states and substages; it starts with system specification and ends with packaging. At the next descriptive level, currently known methodologies (e.g., flowchart based, object-oriented based) lack a global conceptual representation suitable for managing the VLSI design process. Technical details were intermixed with tool-dependent and implementation issues such as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 13 Dec 2011 · 7,497 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDevelopmental Design of Anaerobic Wetland System for Mining Waste Water TreatmentMuhammad Aqeel Ashraf, Mohd. Jamil Maah, Ismail YusoffProblem statement: Tin mining is one of the oldest industries in Malaysia that have started since 1820s. These mining activities have resulted in about 13,700 hectors of tin tailings throughout the peninsula. These tailings have created numerous environmental problems such as threat to natural reserves due to landscape changes, damage to natural drainage, pollution and destruction of natural habitats. Approach: … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 10 Oct 2011 · 7,514 accessesView PDFCite
