Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Analysis of Power Aware Congestion Control Multipath Multicast Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc NetworkDuraiswamy Karuppaswamy, Vijayaragavan ShanmugamProblem statement: In MANETs, wireless link transmission errors, mobility and congestion are major causes for packet loss. Mobility may cause packet loss in different ways. Whereas congestion in a network occurs, whenever the demands exceed the maximum capacity of a communication link especially when multiple hosts try to access a shared media simultaneously. Approach: In this study, we proposed a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 2 Nov 2010 · 7,044 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAutomated Position System Implementation over Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks in 2-Dimension SpaceSoumen Kanrar, Mohammad SirajProblem statement: The real world scenario have changed from the wired connection to wireless connection. Over the years software development has responded to the increasing growth of wireless connectivity in developing network enabled software. The problem arises in the wireless domain due to random packet loss in transport layer and as well as in data link layer for the end … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2010 · 7,196 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordBluetooth Wireless Monitoring, Managing and Control for Inter Vehicle in Vehicular Ad-Hoc NetworksHelia Mamdouhi, Sabira Khatun, Javad ZarrinProblem statement: The car users expect more and more accessories available in their cars, but the accessories available needed manage by driver manually and not properly manage by smart system. All these accessories are able to control by user manually using different and standalone controllers. Besides, the controller itself uses RF technology which is not existed in mobile devices. So … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 8,982 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Channel Adaptive Energy Efficient and Fair Scheduling Media Access Control Protocol for Mobile AdHoc NetworksP. Priakanth, P. ThangarajProblem statement: A major drawback in the existing protocols in dealing with energy management issues is that the time varying nature of the wireless channels among the ad hoc nodes is ignored. Approach: This study proposed a channel adaptive energy efficient Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol, for efficient packets scheduling and queuing in an ad hoc network, with time varying … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2009 · 7,557 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordLocal Beam Search Algorithm for Power Saving in Clustered Ad-Hoc NetworksA. Zabian, F. Al-KalaniAn ad-Hoc network is an infrastructures network consisting of mobile moving nodes. Every node in network performs as a router or a package forwarder. Energy consumption of network interfaces can be significant. There is a relationship between the transmission power and the distance traveled by a packet, increasing the transmission power increases the reachable area at the cost of high … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2008 · 6,544 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordHeterogeneous GPRS-WLAN Integration Based on Ad-Hoc NetworksS. LouvrosIn heterogeneous microcellular networks like 802.11(WLAN)-GPRS, users can roam around through vertical handoffs. The major problem in heterogeneous networks is that they support different QoS requirements and the users suffer sudden changes in data rates. This study proposes certain routing algorithms to extend the service time of mobile handsets in the wireless network with higher available data rate, thus improving … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2008 · 6,540 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordTCP Optimal Performance in Wireless Networks ApplicationsEmad Qaddoura, Abdelghani Daraiseh, Wesam Al Mobaideen et al.Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of dynamic topology as nodes in the network are mobile, and connected via wireless links. The nodes are grouped in clusters for the purpose of routing. Nodes within the cluster communicate directly. However, nodes communicate outside the cluster through a centralized node that is called a clusterhead. An elected clusterhead is assigned for communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 6,422 accessesView PDF Cite
