Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesMining Level-Crossing Association Rules from Large DatabasesR. S. Thakur, R. C. Jain, K. R. PardasaniExisting algorithms for mining association rule at multiple concept level, restricted mining strong association among the concept at same level of a hierarchy. However mining level-crossing association rule at multiple concept level may lead to the discovery of mining strong association among at different level of hierarchy. In this study, a top-down progressive deepening method is developed for mining level-crossing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2006 · 7,317 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesA Two Dimensional Infinite Element Model to Study Temperature Distribution in Human Dermal Regions due to TumorsK. R. pardasani, Madhvi shakyaIn this study, a two dimensional infinite element model has been developed to study thermal effect in human dermal regions due to tumors. This model incorporates the effect of blood mass flow rate, metabolic heat generation and thermal conductivity of the tissues. The dermal region is divided into three natural layers, namely, epidermis, dermis and subdermal tissues. A uniformly perfused tumor … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,375 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesModel for Load Balancing On Processors in Parallel Mining of Frequent ItemsetsRavindra Patel, S. S. Rana, K. R. PardasaniThe existence of many large transactions distributed databases with high data schemas, the centralized approach for mining association rules in such databases will not be feasible. Some distributed algorithms have been developed [FDM, CD], but none of them have considered the problem of data skews in distributed mining of association rules. The skewness of datasets reduces the workload balancing between … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2005 · 7,344 accessesView PDF Cite
